Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance Celebrates 25 Years Sunday By Matt Lopez After 25 years, the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance is speeding ahead faster than ever. On Sunday, the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance will once again fill Rodeo Drive to celebrate 25 years of the popular Father’s Day tradition. Commemorating the 25th anniversary, a special class of cars include some of the most exceptional automobiles in motoring history, each painted silver. Vehicles include coachbuilt beauties such as the rare 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic by Ghia from the Sydorick collection, supercars like
the 1994 Bugatti EB110 SS from the Mullin Automotive Museum and celebrity-owned vehicles such as acclaimed director John Frankenheimer’s 1963 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III from the Petersen Automotive Museum. “This year’s event will feature an unprecedented lineup of classic, exotic, luxury and supercars,” said Bruce Meyer, chairman of the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance. The 25th Concours d’Elegance begins Sunday at 10 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m., encompassing Rodeo Drive from Wilshire Boulevard to Santa Monica Boulevard.
District Bids Farewell To Student Boardmember Artal By Laura Coleman The Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education bid farewell to student boardmember Jonathan Artal at its meeting last Thursday evening. Artal, who graduated from Beverly Hills High School two weeks ago, is headed to Stanford University to begin his college education. “This has been an incredible year and I think I have learned more, grown more this year through this board than any class I

By Victoria Talbot The Beverly Hilton Specific Plan Amendment public process continued Tuesday evening in the Municipal Gallery at City Hall with a presentation by Assistant Director of Community Development Ryan Gohlich, Associate Planner Cindy Gordon and Rincon Consultants Melissa Whittemore and Joe Power. The Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was introduced May 18 for the 30-day public comment period that concludes June 18. The purpose of the meeting was to present the project in a public setting so community members have the opportunity to express the environmental issues they feel should be addressed. Comments, both oral and written, will provide an inventory of potential environmental effects of the Modified Project to be addressed by the Draft
