Pet products generated over $62 billion in the United States last year, a testament to the pampered pooches we love. The call is out for all petfriendly product and pet-service vendors who wish to participate in Woofstock. Submit an application for space for the opportunity to showcase their products and services at this event by Sept. 22. Space is limited and in demand, so submit early for the best chances. Local Philanthropists Hope To Change Young Lives Through Bicycles By Laura Coleman For Beverly Hills resident Judy Briskin, the moment she saw a CBS Sunday Morning segment in 2013 about an East Coast police program that helped inner city children get access to bikes, Briskin knew she had to support a similar type of program in Los Angeles. It turned out that Briskin’s brother, Bob Sallin, an LAPD Reserve Specialist, had seen the same story and the two siblings decided the project would be ideal for the local police departments’ Youth Activities League.
