Pets of the Week Rocky

A big ol’ kitty with lots of love to give.

He is extremely mellow and an easy cat to chill with. He really appreciates attention and pets. He likes to follow people around and patiently wait for someone to notice him. Rocky is very easy going with other cats.

Rosie

She can be a little timid around people, but will seek you out for some pets.

Rosie is a sweet girl who does like to be around other cats. She does need to be on grain free food due to allergies, but otherwise is just like any other cat.

Jesse

A sweet girl who loves to be around people and be loved on. She also likes to go on walks and play and explore the outdoors. She will need some basic training but is a very happy girl and eager to please. She does not do well with other dogs, so she will have to be the only pet in the family.

Squeakers

Quite the character. He’s extremely active and loves to play ball. Get a hose out and he will go nuts going after the water. He also is a wonderful car rider and loves hikes. He is still very unsure with dogs and other animals, so he would probably do best as the only pet in a home.

THANK YOU! It rained but you showed up for the parade anyway! That was so fun! It was a true honor to once again serve as Parade Chairman for the Black Hills Roundup. It was a pleasure to work with great men and women, who volunteered their time to help. Over the years of serving on the board of directors, I have sure made some lifelong memories. As I step aside for the next volunteer to take my place, I wish them well.

To have a successful parade, it takes a great team. I had a great one this year.

Kristi Thielen and her staff, Jean Maher and Maggie Tupper, did a great job handling all the stress and pressure. Thank you so much for your hard work! It was a special parade this year, that’s for sure. For the second year in a row, the road construction caused us to use a different route, and it was very taxing on our police force. So thank you Chief Marlyn Pomrenke and everyone who assisted with traffic and safety issues. You were great to work with. And to the employees of the City of Belle Fourche - thank you for all your work as well. I really appreciate what you do and so often you get over looked. The parade had almost 250 entries this year, and maybe 20,000 spectators they say. We sure appreciate the communities showing up! It rained on us and you showed up in force anyways!
