Rebuilding Prosthetic & Orthotic Services Post Covid-19 ISPO UK MS Webinar Thursday 3 December 2020 | 4.00 pm – 6.00 pm
Chair: Carolyn Young, National Programme of Care Manager, NHSE & NHS Improvement
Covid 19 has inflicted a devastating impact upon the delivery of healthcare services across the NHS. This includes all aspects of the P & O sector with patients unable to access appropriate treatment and devices over an extended period. We now have an unprecedented backlog of patients combined with a fragmented re-emergence of P & O services across the UK. The ability to deliver services at scale has been compromised for the foreseeable future. With particular regard to Orthotic services the situation is exceptionally fragile due to inequitable funding models that are likely to prove unsustainable in the short to medium term . This event, hosted by ISPO UK MS, aims to draw together representatives across all parties involved in P & O service delivery. Chaired by Carolyn Young, National Programme of Care Manager, NHSE & NHS Improvement, the format will comprise 6 x 10 minute presentations on a range of topics including … o best practice developed during Covid 19 o service prioritisation o e-consultations and digital technology; o service funding models o MDR o user experience … and will allow approximately 25 minutes for discussion thereafter.
Places limited: early registration advisable. To mitigate the cost of hosting this event there will be a registration fee of £15 per delegate (ISPO UK member reduced rate - £5) Registration open via ISPO UK Website
