I am a passionate environmentalist and I would like that to be a significant part of my architecture. I have been artistic all my life and this has helped me a lot both in design and problem solving, in and out of architecture. Vijayawada(also known as Bezwada) is a city on the banks of Krishna River, in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the twelve urban local bodies in the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region. The city is the second largest city in the state by population(2011) and third most densely populated urban built-up areas in the world. Vijayawada is often referred as the Commercial capital of Andhra Pradesh. The climate is tropical, with hot summers and moderate winters. The peak temperature reaches 47 °C in May -June, while the winter temperature is 2027 °C in November - January. The average humidity is 78% and the average annual rainfall is 103 cm.

Vijayawada has hot and humid climate. It reaches a maximum day average temperature 40c in May and falls to 18.6c in winters during the months of may and January respectively. It receives rainfall from South west and North East monsoons from June –October. December and January are the months with optimum temperature zone.

The male population is more in working sector than female population. The understanding of the population growth will be considered while programming for the overall redevelopment of the site.

The Micro climate of the site is effected by the vegetation in it. G.S Raju street is shaded with trees on both sides under which the vehicles are parked. This street experiences the low heat when compared to the other streets in the site. Ryves Canal has vegetation on either of its edges with large canopy which provides the surroundings with low temperatures during summers.

There are three major access roads to our site. They are Muktyala road(15m wide), Annadana samajam street(8m wide) & Karl Marx road(20m wide). Due to the major commercial activities happening on Mutkyala Road there is a demand for heavy traffic flow. The public transportation facilities provided (at nodes 1,2&5) are meeting the requirements. Annadana samajam Street is also one of the major access roads to our site which connects from Karl Marx road to Lenin center and then to Gandhi nagar through node 6.

Micro climate can be easily identified while observing the site and trees are helping to maintain certain temperatures and acting as shades for pedestrians and also people who park their vehicles. As no bye laws are considered all the buildings are built close to each other due to which an atmosphere is created restricting the sun light and also the winds.As a part of the site is concrete jungle the emition of heat is high and which leads to imbalance in the micro climate. Daily workers who work near by take rest in the shades for some time if they are tired. A healthy vegetation is maintained some trees are covering the whole road and even the street lights at the night.
