PART 1: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
products From my initial product proposal, I had a very clear vision of how I wanted this assessment to go. The products themselves are sheer-panelled bralettes with hand embroidered designs on them. The designs are edgy and fun, whilst still maintaining a very luxurious overall aesthetic. They are made with super comfortable material and range from small to extra large. This ultimately means you shop for your shirt size, not your bra size. They are made with the intention of being aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable, not for full support. who are tsuno? Imagine being able to make a difference to a woman’s life in a developing country with just one consumer choice. Tsuno is trying to make this a reality through the sale of beautiful, sustainable and socially responsible sanitary pads that won’t break the bank, with 50% of profits going to programs set up to help women in the developing world. Tsuno disposable sanitary pads have been designed to fulfil a range of important criteria, including comfort, design, sustainability and cost.
what is shark week? The week during which a woman has her period. There will be blood, an uncomfortable sense of tension and a bad tempered, unpredictable beast. Take heed during shark week. If you show signs of weakness or aggression, you will be attacked. If you get attacked, it will be all your fault, infinitely more traumatic for her and you’ll never be allowed to forget it. Man 1 ”Why is your wife glaring at you from the window?” Man 2 ”Shark week. She’s looking for an excuse to strike” Man 1 ”Pub?” Man 2 ”Hell yes.”
aim of colab: Shark Week is an event that, run by Tsuno, showcases illustrators from Australia and Canada. This event aims to spotlight the fact that there are women in developing countries that forgo approximately 39 days of school each year, purely due to the lack of access to sanitary items. Tsuno and Bramando have come together with the ultimate goal to extend the reach that this campaign already has. Bramando’s values wholeheartedly align with the goal to empower all women.
