Tahe Outdoors is the top manufacturer and distributor of high quality watersport products in Europe. In 1989, competition paddlers Indrek Tull and Taavi Rajasalu founded Tahe Outdoors in Estonia. The first kayak was built with the help of Finnish colleagues from the Finnish Canoe Federation. In 2007, the company was restructured when two brothers, Marek Pohla and Janek Pohla joined the company. Today, Tahe Outdoors offers the largest selection of watersports products including - stand up paddling, kayaking, surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. The 4 manufacturing facilities located in Germany, France and Estonia include rotomolding, thermoforming, blow molding and composite production technologies. Products are currently distributed in 85 countries around the world. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Innovation, quality, durability are all key to respecting the environment
Innovation and product quality are essential factors in respecting the environment. When innovative products are designed with quality and durability in mind, they can provide years of use and enjoyment. These principles have been demonstrated, time and time again, by the thousands of children having fun, season after season, using the Techno 293 OD windsurf board due to the durability and lighter weight of ACE-TEC boards; surf schools have invested in our DURA-TEC boards because the timeless shapes provide the performance that their customers desire while the ultra-tough materials make them less susceptible to damage; the same goes for families and SUP clubs who have chosen one of our TOUGH-TEC boards. Durable, innovative products: that means fewer units manufactured and more years of enjoyment, reduced pollution and fewer products going into landfills.

THE MACHINERY
Tahe Outdoors is unique in our industry because we are capable of several manufacturing techniques including: thermoforming, thermoforming around a core material, blow molding/blown extrusion, rotomolding and composite laminates. Tahe Outdoors is the only manufacturer in the world to have all these manufacturing techniques available. This enables us to produce six different product types with consistency, quality and faithfulness to the original design, every time.
ACE-TEC / TOUGH-TEC ACE-TEC: Under heat and pressure in aluminum molds we thermoform a durable, impactresistant skin over fiberglass, epoxy resin and a molded, watertight EPS foam core. The board is then extracted from the mold and sent for finishing. Products using this technique: Designated Surf, Windsurf and SUP boards TOUGH-TEC: Under heat and pressure in aluminum molds we thermoform a durable, impact resistant skin over a molded, watertight EPS foam core. TST Hollow Twin Sheet Technology: Two polyethylene sheets (deck and hull) are heat-molded in an aluminum mold then pressure-fused together. Products using this technique: Kayaks, Dinghies
DURA-TEC A tube of extruded (molten) polyethylene is gravity molded and then shaped by being blown against the inner walls of a hollow aluminum mold. Next itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s cooled, taken out of the mold and moved to a steel shaper where it is expansion-filled with high density polyurethane foam. Products using this technique: DURA-TEC Surfboards
HDPE Polyethylene powder is melted on the walls of high quality aluminium moulds turning in the rotomoulding chamber with temperatures reaching 280 °C. Products using this technique: Tahe Marine & Zegul PE kayaks and canoes
COMPOSITE Fiberglass and carbon fabrics are hand laminated into composite moulds . Our composite technology includes hand laminating, vacuumbag technology, special marine grade epoxy resin, several types of carbon fiber, carbon/aramide and glass multiaxial fabrics.

The joint line is invisible and 100% secure. • TST creates a product that is light, strong and smoothly finished. • Our polyethylene is UV treated and highly resistant to knocks and scratching = exceptional durability. • Molded external fin inserts = no penetrations through outer shell and maximum strength.
Blow Molding / Blown Extrusion Key Features: • Used exclusively for BIC Surf, for surfboards that are built to last. • Closed cell PU inner core for structural integrity and board stiffness. • Strong blow-moulded outer PE skin for ding resistance, long-term durability. • Molded external fin inserts - no penetrations through outer shell and maximum strength.

CHOOSING A KAYAK WIDTH A wider kayak can provide more room and stability for recreational paddling or larger paddlers. A narrower boat allows for a more efficient paddle stroke and faster hull speeds for performance kayaks.
LENGTH A shorter boat can be easier to turn and maneuver for recreational paddlers. A longer boat will typically track straighter with more speed, stability and capacity.
The combination of length, width and hull shape will provide the speed, tracking, maneuverability and stability needed for for various types of paddling from recreational and touring to performance specific paddling. A-CORE Zegul A-CORE lay-up - The efficiency and ability to withstand the most challenging environments with this material layup are due to its increased durability and stiffness. All ZEGUL A-CORE decks are built in a sandwich construction (available for all Zegul kayak models). These kayaks are equipped with a sandwich reinforced keel area - ensuring scratch and impact strength. The hull and deck are joined internally using both fiberglass and aramide taping and externally with a very robust aramide tape.
Tahe Marine OUTDOOR lay-up - Available for 2020 season for the Tahe Marine range. This construction was developed with the leading European raw-material suppliers. The key feature of this lay-up is a high-density core material, which provides a very strong composite laminate.
