BIDV continues to be honored as one of the 10 largest enterprises in Vietnam according to the VNR500 list (ranking top 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam) recently announced.

This is the 4th consecutive year (2017-2020) BIDV has been among the top 10 of the VNR500 Ranking.

Also, according to the Profit 500 Ranking (top 500 most profitable enterprises in Vietnam) in 2020, BIDV ranked 14th. Previously, from 2017 to 2019, BIDV continuously ranked in the top 15 in the Profit 500 Ranking

BIDV is the leading commercial bank in Vietnam with the total assets as of the end of September 2020 reaching about VND1.47quadrillion (USD63.3 billion), customer deposits over VND1.15 quadrillion (USD50 billion); customer loans reaching VND1.15 quadrillion (USD50 billion).

Especially, in the first 9 months of 2020, promoting the role of a special state-owned enterprise, BIDV joined the banking industry to support businesses and people to overcome the consequences of Covid-19, ensuring stable living conditions and production and business activities. According to preliminary calculations, BIDV expects to spend VND3,500-4,500 billion (USD195 million) in 2020 to support customers to overcome Covid-19.

In 2020, with positive results in many aspects of operations, BIDV is recognized by domestic and international organizations with many awards: Top 2,000 largest public companies in the world (Forbes), Top world's 300 most valuable banking brands (Brand Finance); "Best SME Bank in Vietnam" (Alpha Southeast Asia Magazine); The Best Bank in Vietnam and the Best Cash Management Bank in Vietnam (The Asian Banker). BIDV was also honored as Outstanding Enterprise for employees during the period 2019-2020.

The VNR500 and Profit 500 rankings are jointly implemented by Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Report) and Vietnamnet newswire, and have been annually published since 2007 with the aim of honoring the largest scale businesses in Vietnam with remarkable achievements in business activities. The rankings are based on independent research and evaluation according to international standards and consultation by domestic and foreign experts, combining analysis of business revenues, total assets, total employees, profit after tax and other indicators such as ROA, ROE, and corporate media.
