BSL maintains positive business performance

BIDV-SuMi TRUST Leasing Co., Ltd (BSL) was honored to receive a Certificate of Commendation from Sumitomo Mitsui TRUST Panasonic Finance (SMTPFC), a member of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group for excellent sales performance in the second half of 2020 and the first three months of 2021.

Despite the severe impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, BSL achieved positive results with outstanding loans reaching nearly VND2,400 billion (USD104.3 million), up 52 percent compared to the same period last year. All safety indicators are ensured, with bad debt below 0.5 percent.

The strong growth of supply-chain finance (SCFA) made a significant contribution to BSL's business results. In the first six months of 2021, outstanding loans from this operation increased by 58 percent.

Such achievements are attributed to the effective application of management experience and expansion of relationships with supplier networks from the two parent banks: the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (SMTB). BSL has connected with large and reputable suppliers in Vietnam, Japan and other countries. Up to now, BSL has signed strategic cooperation agreements with more than 50 major suppliers in the fields of construction machinery, machine tools, transport vehicles, office equipment and other machines and equipment.
