On 21 March, BIDV worked with the General Department of Taxation to deploy personal electronic tax/fee payment service via eTax Mobile application, contributing to accelerating the digital transformation of the tax industry.
The eTax Mobile application is deployed on mobile devices for individual taxpayers using iOS and Android systems. Customers download the eTax Mobile application to their mobile devices, then register for an account, declare and verify user information, then look up and select the tax/fee payable. On the payment screen, customers choose BIDV and complete steps like a normal financial transaction. After completing the transaction, eTax Mobile returns the transaction result to the customer. If the transaction is successful, customer clicks to download the electronic tax/ fee payment document and close the transaction.
Minister of Finance Mr. Ho Duc Phoc said: The launch of the portal for foreign providers and introduction of eTax Mobile application not only helps strengthen the strict management of tax collection to the State budget and provide the best utilities to people and businesses but also marks an extremely important step forward, contributing to the digital transformation of the tax and finance sector in particular and the national digital transformation generally.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao, Senior executive Vice President of BIDV, said: “As one of the leading financial institutions in Vietnam, BIDV has always pioneered in implementing the direction by the government and ministries, closely working with regulators, and accompanying people and businesses. BIDV is honoured to be the first bank to complete the integration of tax payment feature on this application. With eTax Mobile, BIDV has the chance to provide free-of-charge tax payment service to its 16 individual customers as well as over 60 individual customers with tax codes on the app”.
In recent years, BIDV and the General Department of Taxation have coordinated to deploy many effective public services, such as a portal for electronic payment, tax and fee payment on the e-banking application, and on the national public service portal.
employing a modern technology platform, professional staffs, diversified products and services, and a wide operating network, BIDV has well met the needs for banking products and services. The effective cooperation between BIDV and tax, treasury and customs units creates favorable conditions for both individuals and businesses, contributing to promoting noncash payment according to the government’s policies.
