Anchor D Simmentals & Charolais

Page 1

So I was sitting for a few moments the other night trying to be inspired after a long day of chores, repairs, calving, picturing bulls, and trying to wrap up the catalogue. I said to Karen I’m going to watch an episode of 1883 just to chill for a bit. Now yes I know it’s Hollywood, but to a degree it’s real. We look at what we did in the day and think that was a long hard day. Well not really, as I sit at the computer typing, checking cows on the camera. Pioneers, they were tough. Not just the Pioneers of the land and where we are today, but the Pioneers in life. The Pioneers, who had the foresight to import these cattle over from Europe, so we could live out our passion, our goals, our dreams. As a 10 year old boy I dreamed of one day hosting a bull sale, and now here along with a tremendous family we welcome you to our 24th annual bull sale.

As I look at this years offering of bulls I can’t help but think that to get to where you are going, you also need to reflect on the past. Evolution of the breed, and now in our case breeds, where yes now we can use an exotic bull as a calving ease bull. Calving ease is not just a birth weight, but more importantly about structure and build. Yes performance cattle that can be maternal as well not just terminal. Cattle that can be harvested at a much earlier age, with a quicker return on your financial investment, and less time in the system overall. Early maturing efficient cattle. It makes sense to supply the industry with these types of genetics. We are in this business for the long haul and much like our customers; it’s about bottom line, and capitalizing on our investment.

We are extremely proud of this year’s pen of bulls. I honestly feel this is the strongest group, and in the largest numbers we have ever offered. Our Simmental numbers are pretty well on par with the past several years, but obviously with the addition of Charolais to our program our numbers are slightly higher. This group of bulls was established from

about 500 cows. An extremely rigid culling program has brought us the bulls we offer today, so when selecting bulls please know that we have taken the time and dedication to offer you our finest. We have too many numbers to worry about bad temperaments, pulling calves or calves that have no vigor. I’m sure not saying we still don’t get some, but these have seen the market long ago, and have a spot in the feedlots, not in your breeding program. You have heard us say this before; we don’t just want to sell you one bull today. We want to sell you many bulls over time. We are committed to this relationship and are a part of your team.

I honestly feel the calves produced this spring will be the highest dollar calves you have ever sold. Market trends, declining cow herd numbers, growing population all points to one thing and its all good things for the cow calf man. So much like the Pioneers, the days are long and sometimes hard, but the reward is great. Plus where would you rather raise a family? The future for our industry is extremely bright. We are now several years into our Anchor D Sired calf sales, and it is so gratifying to watch draft after draft of big powerful calves hit the sale ring and demand a premium. Anything we can do to add value for our customers, we are trying to do. We appreciate your investment in our program, and want to do what we can to help maximize your return on investment.

We invite anyone to please stop in and view the bulls any time prior to the sale, or check out the bull sale videos online. If you are unable to attend in person, please don’t hesitate to contact ourselves or any of our staff to discuss your needs. Hopefully you can make it to the sale Friday, February 10th for our 24th annual sale. We have a steak on ready for you.

With a great deal of pleasure, we welcome you to the 24th annual Genetic Edge bull sale hosted by The Skeels family of Anchor D Ranch. The Skeels family is one of the many great operations we enjoy doing business with throughout the year and have become close friends to all of us at Bohrson Marketing.

The 2023 edition is a set of bulls that has us all extremely fired up. The rookie calf crops off the likes of Creed and Bowman have blown past the great expectations that they were held in. The addition of the Charolais division has a larger sample size for this years event and it’s extremely deep with quality.

The Anchor D prefix is always correlated with quality stock and the repeat commercial customers and well as other purebred breeding operations that annually source their bull battery from the Skeels family is prominent at each sale. We feel this speaks volumes to not only the product on offer but also the folks behind the cattle. The Skeels family are salt of the earth people and are a true family run operation with 3 generations working daily side by side. When you choose to do business with Anchor D Ranch you quickly become a close friend and like part of the family.

Feed & Bull Development

Our bulls are raised on a TMR ration, consisting of 2/3 cereal silage and 1/3 corn silage, 1 lb. second cut hay, as well as 12 lbs. of Bull Ration, and free choice mineral. They are raised in a 5 acre yard so they have lots of room for exercise, and are able to go out and cover the ground. We appreciate they could be fed to be bigger, but we also are very proud of the fact we have bulls still out working well into their early teens. The bulls will remain on the same ration up until delivery so they remain on a steady balanced diet to ensure proper development.

Health

All bulls are under the watchful eye of Gull Lake Veterinary Services. They receive Vitamin AD&E as well as MUSE at birth. Express 5 and Covexin Plus prior to grass, as well as Express 10 and Covexin Plus, and boosters after weaning. Clean Up and Safeguard in December.

2023 bull sale 5

Fleckvieh Division

Interestingly enough our start to the Registered Simmental Business started for me at age 10. My first purchase was a direct son of Sir Arnold 809G. I remember he was my pick of the bulls from RAJ Stock Farms that year, and Mom & Dad purchased a different bull at the sale. I honestly think they were tired of listening to me do my best sales pitch on why we should have the 809G son, and I remember Dad saying if you want him so bad, you buy him. He ended up being a tremendous bull, and was the start of something pretty special. Through a lot of support from my parents, guidance from my child hood idols, the Jaburek’s (RAJ Stock Farms) & the Muller’s (Richmond Farms) our humble beginnings have brought us to here. Our Fullblood cow herd has grown to about 300 momma cows, and we are pretty proud to say we have raised Fleckvieh cattle right from our start in the industry. We have really focused on the power of cow families, and the strength in a powerful bull battery. Each of the sires represented this year bring something special to the table. Most of the bulls offered in the Fleckvieh division are from our walking herd sires with a handful coming from our AI program. Even though there are differences in the herd bulls, there are some qualities we insist on in every bull. Feet & Legs, Disposition, Maternal, and calving ability. These are qualities we feel we can’t neglect, and are qualities we feel are valuable to our customers as well. The bulls will be pictured in the order of their sire groups.

The stars have aligned, it’s herd bull time. “Cartel” has been a calf that has been high on our radar from the day he hit the ground. So much so we held his dam to add into our donor pen. Everything about this bull is right. Exceptional length, sound footed, free moving, deep sided, excellent disposition, color, smooth polled, and a pedigree. His dam is a cow that anyone can find, she is everything we want to see in a cow, beautifully sculpted, with an impeccable udder, a tremendous disposition, and tracing back to one of our old foundation cows in “Desiree”. “Cartel” is halter broke, as initially Garren was going to show him this fall, and then opted to only show heifers. All blood work will be done so he is ready to enter stud immediately following the sale, if the new owner wishes. Everything about him is right and I guarantee he will be one of the lead off bulls in this year’s sale. Without question “Cartel” is one of the top bulls we have ever produced. We have gotten away from retaining semen on our sale bulls, as we feel it is your investment, and you deserve full marketing advantage. In the case of “Cartel” we would be very interested in purchasing semen back on him for use in our own herd if the new owner is interested. We feel very confident in the potential impact he will have in the breed.

“Ekko” is a polled, dark red, smooth fronted bull, with a star studded pedigree. His dam is a “Barbossa” daughter, and his impact in our program is unmatched. Combine that with not just any “Entourage” daughter, but a cow who happens to be a sister to “Sorcerer & Apex”. As I stated not only does this pedigree read well on paper, but has a proven track record as well. “Ekko” is double Polled he will leave his fair share of Polled offspring, but more importantly they will be good. This is a bull that could pull double duty, as he has a balanced pedigree and profile that could see him work on either cows or heifers. Lots of options with “Ekko”.

“Kommodore” is without question one of my personal favorites in this year’s sale. This big boy has been an absolute standout from the day he was born, and has never had a bad day. His dam “Angelica”, just so happens to be a full sister to “Entourage”, and as a first calver was also the dam of “Ego” who just so happened to be the high seller that year selling to Hairy Hill Cattle Co. I appreciate “Kommodore” has a bit of added birth weight. Factor in a couple things, his dam was transferred over from the fall calving group, so she was without question a little chubby when she calved, secondly appreciate the length of spine in this bull, there is easy extra pounds there at birth, which also equates to easy extra pounds when you ship his calves. This bull is a big-time player, and has all the goods to be classified as an absolute stud!

We are very happy with the “Creed” calves, and certainly happy with how they continue to develop. “Kasino” is another bull with a pretty special blended pedigree. On the bottom side “Radioactive, Precision, Barbossa”, going back to a power base in the “Erika – Elsa” cow families. “Kasino’s” great grandmother is without question one of our best “Barbossa” cows, and will have a feature son (Lot #11) in the “French Attack” section. Little to zero guess work with this bull. There is no gamble with this “Kasino” only winners.

“Kallahan” is a bull that really excites me. He comes from one of Garren’s 4-H cows “Tequila”. Last year she was unable to show due to a foot injury, the year before she was champion cow calf pair and supreme female, so it’s unfortunate she was unable to show last year. This has been the cow family that has put Garren on the map. He has been able to build a program around the “Tyra” cow and even though she’s gone her contribution to not only his herd but many others lives on. “Kallahan” truly is a bull I think you will just grow to appreciate that much more with time, and I’m going to venture and say this will be a bull you will want to retain as many daughters from as you can.

This bull has a little extra bragging rights, as this is Garren’s show bull. “Krush” was shown at the National YCSA show, where he was named the National Champion bull. His full sister by blood “Phoebe” was also a female Garren showed this past year at both the National & Provincial YCSA shows, Immortals & Farm Fair, where she held in solid in all these shows, doing a great job representing our herd. He also has the bragging rights of his grand dam being my personal favorite cow on the farm. This bull is no fluke, his pedigree is enriched with some of the best that have ever strolled our pastures. He is a deep sided, stout made bull that won’t just “Krush” a scale himself but his offspring will too. Smooth Polled, well balanced, and very structurally sound, its herd bull time.

The dam of “Credence” is a young cow named “Flore”. Remember that name as this young cow is going to have an impact in our breed. This awesome young cow slammed one out of the park on her first calf, raising “Hefner”, who was our high seller in his respective year, selling to Dobbie Simmentals. There were several sale heifers bred to him this fall so his influence will be seen throughout the country side. Calf number two is a pretty special young female we retained for our own herd, and “Credence” is calf number three. This is a bull that just continues to get stronger with each passing day, and come sale time I think he will have a pretty good list of friends.

His dam is very much a favorite cow of mine. This cow will produce alongside the best of them. Her first daughter was retained, and her 1st calf went on to be a herd bull for Kindred Spirit. Her 2nd calf being an outstanding herd bull for Sanderson’s, her 3rd calf is just a first calver we retained, and her son will be lot #75 in this year’s sale, calf number 4 was a sale heifer this year selling to Four D Ranch, and now here is number 5. The back story on what her grandmother, all the way through to his great, great, great grandmother is way too long to list but I can say this has been one of our strongest producing cow families. “Kreed” will be a very, very honest bull that will increase your bottom line.

A fairly big statement considering “Dorothy” has 77 registered direct progeny to her name. “Gjenna” has produced a couple high selling bulls in her time, “Morocco & Arsenal” but also contributed to the female side as well. “Kolton” will be a very strong honest herd bull that will put those big heavy weight steers in your pen in the fall that the feedlots and packers will love, but his strong suit just very well may be the replacement females he leaves for you. She is a cow that no matter how we breed her we know it will be good. As a 9th calver every one of her progeny has either made it to the sale pen or the replacement pen. She also boasts a great pedigree going back to one of our very best cornerstone cows in “Herlinde”.

“Bourbon” is a bull I have very high hopes for and I feel will do incredible things. Regardless if he goes commercially or to a breeder, this is a bull that I promise will have a large impact in your herd, and will last for a long time.

We also have a full sister in our own herd who just so happened to raise last year’s high seller “River Dance” as a first calver, selling to Gra-Tan Ranch. Another great performance bull from the “Tyra” cow family. “Anna Maria” is perhaps the most correct, perfectly built direct daughter of “Tyra”. This is a fairly young cow, but I am pretty certain as time goes on she is going to prove herself as one of her most productive daughters. “Kane” is a good example of what she can do. Her two previous calves have both made the sale pen selling to Javier Jauregui in Mexico, and Sagwich Land & Livestock in Oregon. I would look to “Kane” to add extra muscle shape and dimension, added growth, as well as to produce females with perfect udders, and great foot structure. He will be an all-around bull to use on any type of cow.

Last year a full brother sold to David Rentz, AB the year before another full brother to Gumbo Flats Ranch in North Dakota. A 1/2 brother works for Chris Bowman, and 2 sisters in Garren’s own herd. This is a highly productive cow, and I can’t say enough good things about his sire “French Attack”. “Krave” comes to us from one of our old faithful producers. His dam “Angelina 1X” was purchased as a bred heifer from Ferme Sibelle. This female has been a top producer for us for many years, with progeny at Small Time Farms, Whiskey Creek Ranch, Reszel Farms, Flewelling Livestock, South Peace Colony, Stone Simmentals, Crystal Springs Ranch, Langer Fleckvieh, & Parker Farms. “Krave” is her 11th natural calf, and we have only retained the one daughter for our own herd, so we were really crossing our fingers for another heifer, however she is due early again with really no signs of slowing down, so hopefully this next one. At the end of the day these are the type of females that you can build a herd around, and “Krave” will be a bull that will make a great contribution to developing a core group of cows. If you want to breed in longevity and consistency this is a bull to have scored high.

The dam of “Kaden” is an extremely nice put together female, that is very easy keeping, and very attractive. She is a relatively young cow, with a pedigree stacked with great cow families. I truly feel this is a young cow that will have a big impact on Mackenzie’s herd. “Kaden” is just an all-around useful bull that you can use on a broad spectrum of cows and he will only add value. A good solid choice for any herd.

I have to admit, I’ve been thinking about writing this big dude’s footnotes all summer long. This is a bull that really excited me. The pedigree on “Claiborne” is stacked with the likes of “Legend, Rogant, & Evan” further down the line tracing back to the great “Ashante” cow, who we were fortunate enough to acquire a flush on out of Texas. He is a bull that will transmit superior growth, and muscle dimension, as well as correcting udders, adding tremendous foot structure, and yes if you want them red they will be heavily pigmented. We have only sold one brother to him, selling to Springside Colony, and added a couple sisters into our own herd. This is a very good cow family that is making an impact in our program. “Claiborne” is a bull with a very bright future.

She is a relatively young cow, but as a fourth calver she has already given us two exceptional females for our own herd, and a full brother to “Kosmo” selling to our good neighbors, Gene & Pam Riley. “Kosmo” will be an outstanding bull that will no doubt produce a stellar set of performance steers and an outstanding set of females. She has son’s working for Van Immerzeel’s, Ingram’s, & Bowman’s. She did get injured this spring at breeding time, one of the joys of breeding on ice. She did recover fortunately but she did come in open. We made the conscious decision to hold her and breed her for fall, so I think that tells you our thoughts on this great young cow. “Kershaw” has the look. He has looked like a herd bull as a baby, and you knew he was going to be good. Combine that with the added fact that he is also polled just adds another dimension to the total package.

This young bull has a future, and due to age alone could be lost a bit in the shuffle. If you want a bull that will produce those big heavy weight steer calves in the fall, he’s the real deal. When the hammer falls sale day, regardless of where he goes or what happens, you will never get the image of “Blue Mountain” off your mind. The fall calvers were managed a little differently this year, as we lost a rented pasture and had nowhere to go with them, so rather than weaning prior to going to grass, these guys actually stayed with their moms and went to grass with the rest of the calves. Not saying that was ideal, but it’s what needed to be done. I can promise it was pretty easy detecting any cows that didn’t get bred though. “Jester” is very similar in pedigree to “Rip” and he too has that great physical presence, incredible length of spine, and extremely nice smooth shoulder set. He comes in a polled package with a nice moderate birth weight, and will be very user friendly and with the added age work a larger breeding group. We have done things a little different the past few years with our fall calvers, as we don’t actually calve them on grass. They calve in the yard, and we get their calves used to people for a couple weeks and then go to grass. Well in that brief period of time “Jethro” became a pet. Now that he’s all grown up, he doesn’t come for his daily pets anymore, but he is a very laid back, docile individual. His dam is a big power performance cow, and I see “Jethro” as much the same. This is a bull I feel will produce the big power steers. He and his mom are both larger framed animals so this is a bull I feel will work very well on a more moderate based set of cows that you just want to add a bit more size and power into.

The dam of “Kimber” has been a solid producer for Garren, leaving him a couple outstanding cows for his own herd as well as some very marketable bull calves over the years. This has been a consistent cow for him on both production and productivity, and I feel as there is little to zero guess work with “Kimber”. Look for a bull that will give you big growth, great weaning weights, produce an outstanding set of steers and an equally as good or better set of replacement heifers. Not much not to like here.

I am pretty tough on twins, so in order for one to make the keeper pen in the bull pen they have to be very good. “Kingsley” and his brother “Kayden” certainly don’t look like a set of twins, nor do they have the performance of a set of twins. “Kayden” (78 lb. birth) did make the bull pen, but a leg injury has been enough of a setback to take him out of the sale but trust me this is an extremely powerful set of calves. They are no fluke either. Their dam “Ginger” produced our second high seller in last year’s sale selling to Little Willow Creek & Kulyk Simmentals, SK, as just a first calver. This is a highly productive young cow that raised a contender, bred back earlier gave us a set of twins (only raised one on her own) and bred right back for an early calf again. I really like “Kingsley” and I am sure you will too.

There is no doubt “Kobe” was a fan favorite all summer long during pasture tours. In fact I don’t think there was a single person that toured that didn’t find him and comment on him. To sum him up in one word, it would be Power! He is an absolute power bull, who is put together right in every way. Certainly don’t turn him into your heifer pen, but use him where he is designed for. This big monster in your mature cows will turn pounds into cash. We all know the heavy weight steer calves are the ones that demanded the premiums again this fall. Well, “Kobe” will produce those early maturing, heavy weight calves that will be in and out of the feedlot in minimum days which equates into more cash in your pocket. You can’t go wrong with this bull.

The full sister to “Kako” was one of our high selling bred heifers this fall, selling to Beechinor Bros. I made the comment in the female sale catalogue that this would be one of the feature bulls in the “Ulysses” sire group. Not saying he will necessarily be the lead off bull in this group, but I also think that says a lot about the strength and power of this sire group, they are very solid as a set. “Kako” is a really deep big growth bull with a bit more frame, lots of hair, solid patterned and backed by a stellar cow family. A tremendous bull that is tailored to suit your demands.

“Asgard” will be the final calf for his dam, as she was unfortunately open this fall, but man did she go out with a bang. This bull is an absolute rock star, and was slated to be on the show road this fall with Garren, then he opted to only show females. I’m pretty sure if “Asgard” would have made it to the fall shows, his list of fans would have only gotten bigger, as this bull is simply awesome. I dare say he is as close to a carbon copy of his sire as we have ever raised, the only difference is he might actually be better. If it wasn’t for the fact this pedigree is very deep in our own herd, this is a bull I would highly consider for our own use, as he is absolutely complete in every way. Not a blow out in any direction just solid in every aspect. Herd bull alert.

She raised a very solid full sister to “Kaleb” that was to be one of her feature heifers to sell this fall, but unfortunately had to be pulled from the sale. This is a bit more of a moderate framed bull, as is his mother, but will be a bull you can look to, to add extra muscle, and rib shape. He is a bull that should produce a very nice set of replacement heifers, and will be a bull that you should be able to use on any type, breed, color or shape of cows and be able to put his stamp on them. I can only imagine how good this bull would do on a set of straight black cows. Those big black baldie calves he would produce would be sale toppers. The best part is that’s not his limitation though. You can use this bull on any type of cow you so desire, I just see him working in any situation, with no limitations. Full Brothers

“Kaiden & Kade” are a pair of embryo calves, who just so happen to be full sibs to “High Noon”. Two factors to keep in mind, as they are both a younger pair of bulls in this year’s group, as well as the fact being embryo calves, so I can honestly say they were both raised by a pair of our weakest recip cows. I think there is a lot more to this pair of calves than what really meets the eye. “Kade” was actually weaned mid-summer, as we culled his recip dam early. Both of these calves have really been coming on nicely since they have been weaned, and should develop into a tremendous pair of bulls. Their actual mother “Martini” is still in our donor program, at age 13. Much like her dam and grand dam she is still extremely sound and functional. We did consider breeding her back again naturally this year but then just decided to keep her in the embryo program just due to her age. Having said that if you were to look at her in person you would never guess her to be the age she actually is. This will be a very solid pair of bulls that will work well on any type of cow.

There is a slight bit of deception here when you look at weaning info. “Klipper” was actually weaned in late July, as his dam had a hip injury and needed to be shipped. “Klipper’s” mother was an outstanding producing cow for us over the years, and traces back to the “Miss Arnold” cow family. Now please note on the Fullblood cows we honestly didn’t AI very many, and relied on our bull battery to do the job. Only a handful of cows were AI’d in hopes of perhaps a special heifer or an outcrossed bull. Well not that his sire “Maximus” is new to our program as he was our go to guy for many years, but we just felt this cross would be pretty special as we had never done it with her before, and she was one of those cows who is just super reliable to always give us an outstanding calf. I truly feel this bull will be very special, and if you’ve never had a “Maximus” son before this is your lone opportunity to get one.

All spring long everyone at home heard me chatter about this bull. He was easily a favorite for me. We keep our first and second calvers sorted off from the main herd after calving so that group of calves does tend to be a bit smaller in size. Well not “Bouwmeester”, he stood out like a sore thumb. From the day he was born he had that herd bull look about him. Now consider the bottom side of this pedigree as well. It is stacked, and this bull not only looks the part but is bred to be the part. He is a stud! I like this bull’s options, he can work so many different angles. To me he could be that calving ease bull that gives you a little more and then the pedigree on top of it all. Well it didn’t take long for the phone to light up. This is an extremely good bull, who has developed so well. I think this bull has a very solid future, and regardless where he goes he will leave an impact. Another bull from a great cow family, but with a very different pedigree., that is specially blended to perfection. You be the judge, but I think this bull has a lot more to offer the industry.

“Bauman” comes from a full sister to “Mr. Gibbs”. I know it’s hard to believe but “Mr. Gibbs” will be entering his 11th breeding season this year. The old gentle giant is still as sound as they come. We did give him a break last year just because we have sold so many sons from him in the past and we were short pen space so he was the designated spare, but not this year, he will see full duties again. I feel as though this genetic combination will be epic. “Bauman” will maintain the calving ease factor but transmit big growth, longevity, performance, and docility. If you are building a cow herd this is a bull you will want near the top of your wish list.

As I had mentioned there are a few characters in this sire group, and “Bogart” is yet another. He truly loves people. It was fun going to check cows this summer, as this calf was more like a dog. When he saw you drive in he would come running for his scratches. He is a bull that will offer lots of growth while still keeping birth weights moderate. He will add extra depth of body and thickness, and will also pass on his tremendous hair coat. These “Bowman” calves do have a look about them, and it looks like Bowman will be with us for a long time. Buy his sons with confidence they are plumb good.

“Kusco” is an absolute stud. This is a calf we have admired since birth, from an extremely good cow, and cow family. He is a heavy muscled bull, that is loaded full of red meat. His dam was one of Mackenzie’s 4H cows who we had the misfortune of losing just prior to calving this year, but trust me when I say this was a picture-perfect female. “Kusco” is an easy bull to pick out in the pen, not just because he’s good, but he does have a signature short tail as he lost his tail when he was a couple months old. This is a tremendous bull, that once you see him, he’s pretty hard not to remember. Great bull, with a great future.

This bull is another absolute powerhouse. This has been a really nice solid producing cow family, that just seems to click with any cross we throw at them. Garren has marketed two calves from this cow to this point a female at Dobbie Simmentals, ON and a bull in last year’s sale selling to Stuart & Karen Shaw. I just really appreciate the total package this bull offers as he will moderate birth weight but still give you phenominal growth, while keeping the maternal characteristics to retain his daughters, and then comes in a Polled package to boot. This is a bull that certainly could and should appeal to almost everyone, and everyone’s needs.

GARREN’S JEZEBEL 24C “Kassian” comes as a very legitimate heifer bull prospect. He comes from a first calving “Radioactive” daughter, so there is a degree of calving ease on both sides of this pedigree. This is a really docile young bull who simply enjoys being around people. That is something we can honestly say has been handed down for generations in this cow family as they are super laid back. No big bells or whistles with this guy, what you see is what you get. He is straight goods, will excel in a calving ease situation, be easy fleshing and moderate, but still add plenty of thickness to his calves. This is a bull I think you will just grow to appreciate more and more with time, and I would venture to say he will sire some outstanding replacement females as well.

“Karter” comes from one of our steady old cow families. The “Ms Geronimo” cow family has put as many front end bulls in our sale as any we have had. This was a cow regardless if it was her, a daughter, or a granddaughter you just know when they give you a bull, it’s going to be not just a sale bull but a contender. This cow has offspring working for Javier Jauregui, Diamond Rio, Crystal Springs Ranch, and last year’s full brother going to Colin Foster. “Karter” is a bull who has really turned it on post weaning, and I think will have several friends sale day. I’ve said it before in such a short period of time I honestly don’t know if there has ever been another female have that big of impact on our herd in such a short period. “Rasputin” should mature into a medium sized framed bull, who should be extra thick and easy fleshing, have tremendous feet, and will have longevity stacked in his pedigree. This is a bull that I think will work on virtually any set of cows and manage to put his own stamp on them. A very solid bull that should appeal to most.

His dam has been our main donor cow for the past several years, and has left us some outstanding offspring. Now I realize he isn’t the biggest bull in the pen. Please factor in age, as well as being an embryo calf. Not every recip cow is created equal. His recip mom did a decent job, but zero doubt in my mind a little more milk would have gone a long ways. The genetics are here, and the genetic makeup is here, this bull will be good. I promise you won’t make them any darker, or heavier pigmented. He carries the polled gene as well. We sold a brother to him to Cory Mack in North Dakota several years ago, I feel this bull could very well be the carbon copy of that bull. With over 30 registered progeny from his dam, I think it says a lot about the confidence we have in this genetic package.

Without question I tell you this is one of my favorites in this year’s offering. His dam is as good of producing cow as we own. She has 2 sons working for Ferrybank Farming, as well as at Craigmyle Colony, 619 Land & Cattle, and daughters in our own herd, and she has been bred to a different bull every year. She is a cow that just produces, and we do like to use her with some of our new bulls just because we know what she can do. She does test my patience, as she is a cow that can spot an open gate from a 1/4 mile away, but end of the day she just adds character to the pen, and well when they produce like her you can live with that. I honestly don’t think there is a single thing you can change on this bull. He is just flat out good. Like I said at the beginning he’s one of my personal favorites in this year’s pen. This bull will create a lot of “Kash” in your pockets.

We were fortunate to have owned her dam in partnership with LaBatte Simmentals, and a half-sister to her was their high selling female this fall. I think there are many options with “Park Avenue”. “Twisted T, Twisted X & Twister” are flush mates from the great “Ziley” cow. This is a cow that has become a center piece for our program. She has been a female that has been a solid producer right from day one. With the exception of one offspring sold her calves have either been the high seller or in the top 5 in the sale. On 6 calves sold she is sitting at just under a $30,000 average. Not too shabby. These three bulls will be full brothers to “Jacqueline” our high selling female this fall selling to Starwest Farms, as well as 1/2 brothers to the great “Raptor” bull owned by Ferme Ganon & Canadian Sires. “Ziley” is a truly beautiful cow who can be seen at Bow Valley as she is currently in embryo production. I’ve always maintained when buying a herd bull buy one from a great cow. This is one of our best. These bulls offer much not only phenotypically, but simply marketability alone. All three are unique and “Twisted X” has the added bonus of being Homozygous unique to boot. Regardless of where they go when the hammer falls sale day, these are bulls that will contribute great things to any herd.

A minor setback for “Jacob” as his dam had a very bad case of mastitis this spring which caused her to lose a 1/4, so needless to say milk production was down. Now having said that post weaning, “Jacob” has come on like a house on fire. This is a big time performance bull, and from a great cow. To put the cow in perspective, we felt so highly of her to retain her for calving again this year. Fingers crossed she only lost 1 quarter, but that is a calculated risk we felt worthwhile as this is an exceptional young cow. She is absolutely gorgeous, and is what we would consider to be a front pasture type female, she’s hard not to find. This is a bull that will give you both exceptional steers and replacement females that could both very well top the market sale day.

This is a bull I really think will see one of the biggest changes from picture time, to sale time, to when he gets delivered to his new home. It’s always gratifying to hear customers say their bulls look better when they get them than they do sale day. That is without question one of the draw backs of an early sale as these bulls are young and just really starting to hit their stride in development. “Kastor” is an absolute stud. He is the youngest bull in this year’s sale, and he was a standout all summer long. His dam is as picture perfect as they come. She is extremely angular and broody with exceptional feet, a huge broad top, and as good of udder as you can put on a cow. This young cow has had two sons in the sale in the past, selling to Craigmyle Colony & Wacoalty Enterprises. This is a cow that will be with us for a very long time, and incidentally was my pick of the bred heifers as an “F” model. Be sure to look past the age of this bull, as I honestly feel this will be a bull underappreciated sale day just due to age but will be one of the top bulls at the end of the day.

We would like to recognize two very important people to our program.

Joe Farris informed us this year will be his last bull sale run. Joe has been a part of our sales team right from day 1. He has been a huge part of Anchor D not only helping with the sale, but he has helped calve cows, construction, maintenance, and travelled many miles with Dan. There is zero doubt in our mind he bleeds Anchor D. He has always supplied us with lots of laughs, many at his expense, and has been a friend to everyone in our family. Although this may be his last sale for us at ringside, we promise this won’t be his last sale with us, as we are sure you will see him helping out on the side lines. We see a little more fishing in his future, a smoke and perhaps a diet coke in his hand. Not that we ever see retirement in Joe’s future but maybe a little less travel and a little more time to enjoy life at home. Thank you Joe!

Dennis Ericson has also been a member of our sales team right from day one. Even though Dennis has not worked ringside the last couple years, we felt we would like to take the time to recognize his devotions, dedication and friendship to our program. We always know when the catalogue arrives, he’s the first guy to call, and offer his congratulations on it being out. Dennis has always offered sound advice, even if it differs from your opinion, he’s not afraid to say what needs to be said. We have known for years he has always had our backs and we just felt so confident having him work ringside with us. Thank you Dennis!

To both these gentlemen our heartfelt thanks, as they are not just loyal friends but we consider them family. Thank you for all you have done for us over the years, we looks forward to many more years of friendship.

“Outstanding!!! As a first calving heifer the dam of “Codigo” has completely surpassed my expectations. We purchased this female as a bred heifer from Ferme Gagnon. Although she isn’t a new pedigree for us, she was easily my first choice sale day and felt as though she could be a valuable breeding piece for our program. Now as mentioned with the majority of the sale heifers being bred “Radioactive”, her being bred that way actually intrigued me that much more, as she completely encompassed our own breeding program. This is a great young cow that has taken it to the next level. I feel if anyone is looking for that bull to use on heifers but demand to have a bit more in your calf crop, then “Codigo” is the ticket. This bull is the real deal, and has been a standout right from birth.

“Korbin” comes from our ET program, and as I mentioned “Radioactive” has been very good for us in the heifer pen, so when implanting embryos, the “Radioactive’s” went into virgin heifers. No doubt “Korbin” is a little shy of his classmates in the growth department, but he is also bred to be that way. I feel this will be a stellar calving ease candidate in an exceptional genetic package. He is dark red, smooth polled, and honestly reminds me very much of his sire. One of the toughest things to find in my opinion is the bona fide heifer bull. Well, I think “Korbin” is a contender there. A full sister resides at Faulkner Farms in Arkansas, where she has entered their donor program. This bull is bred to be good.

The last few years we have made the decision to AI 100% of our heifer pen to proven calving ease bulls. “Kameron” is the first of the “Imax” sons, a bull we have used with the upmost confidence in our heifer pen. No, he certainly isn’t new, but tried, tested and true. Now the really interesting thing is the amount of top end “Imax” cows that are starting to show up in the industry. If you want to build in calving ease while boosting the maternal qualities as well, “Kameron” is a sure bet.

Here is a dark red, smooth built calving ease candidate, who just happens to also come in a polled package. He has an outstanding pedigree, and traces back to our old “Image 21J” cow family, who has raised their share of great ones. Lots of performance on the bottom of this pedigree as well. This is a bull who really encompasses everything, calving ease, growth and maternal, and he’s a handsome little bugger too. This is a bull that when he out grows his use in the heifer pen he can easily slide into the cow pen and not think twice about it.

Another true heifer bull candidate. The combination of “Imax on Barbossa” is as good as it gets. “Klyde” isn’t the star in the pen, but for those of you wanting worry free I think this is probably the safest bet we have. He did suffer a minor injury back in mid-December so it certainly set him back a bit, as we are pretty certain he probably just twisted a leg on the ice or the boys may have been playing a little too rough. Needless to say, he has recovered just fine and will be more than ready to go to work come spring.

“Pilsner” is a total outcross to our program. We purchased his dam as a bred heifer from Diamond T, and this is the resulting progeny she was carrying. We absolutely love this bull’s mother. Troy called the day before the sale and said I think I have a heifer here that really would fit your program, he was right, thanks for the call. This is a big broody female, that I can see raising many herd bulls in her time. “Pilsner” is her first kick at the cat, and I think as a first calver she did a smashing job. Obviously, I can’t tell you much about the sire as this is our lone calf from him, and I’ve never actually seen the bull myself, but I can tell you this looks to be a bull that will add growth, hair and thickness and keep calving ease in check.

We can’t make them any darker red than “Barbosol”. This bull comes from a full sister to the great “Mowtown” bull who was our high seller a few years ago selling to Double Bar D. As I said the color of this bull is tremendous, matched with a fantastic thick hair coat, and well the pedigree is pretty special too. Zero guess work here, a bull that will offer a degree of calving ease, yet still have more than enough performance. Similar to the Lot 75 (Klyde) bull, he too was injured in the pen mid-December, so is just off a bit from where he should be, but should be back on pace come sale time, but please keep that in mind when you look at his photo as it certainly doesn’t tell the whole story.

If there was a hall of fame award for herd bulls here, “Barbossa” would have to be at the top of the list. This bull has done such a terrific job for us over the years, as he was our go to guy in the heifer pen, but then when you analyze the job his daughters did, WOW!! More often than not the top end of the sale traces back to the old boy somewhere. Well, “Jazz” is a bull that has another degree of excitement for me. He should calve well, but another bull when he outgrows his use there will be a bull you confidently slide into the cow pen. Great pedigree, great cow family.

“Kruz” is a calf I have had my eye on all year long. This is a bull with a very nice pedigree, dark red, lots of pigmentation, polled, and an absolutely beautiful first calving dam. My gut tells me this bull is really going to develop into someone quite special. I think he is the total package, and just will do so many good things on so many levels, as well as being a bull that can absolutely work for anyone. Not just a calving ease bull, he’s a whole lot more.

Full Brothers

I’m not going to lie, we were honestly hoping this pair of bulls would have been heifer calves. Our old “Cher” cow stems back to the “Miss Arnold” cow family, and this has been a stellar producing family for us. So when we knew “Cher” was near the end of her time with us, with a very limited semen bank on “Barbossa” we decided to try and make some cows. These are the only two pregnancies we ended up with, and although we didn’t get our desired heifer, we did get a solid pair of polled bull calves. These are a pair of bulls that will be extremely good on the calving end, use them with confidence in the heifer pen, but I truly think their true value will be the daughters they produce. If you’re wanting to build a herd of cows use either of these guys on already good cow families and they will only solidify the deal.

Purebred Division

When we first started the joint bull sale back in 2000, we honestly had a very limited Purebred division. When we branched out on our own we felt the need to expand this portion. Our Purebred sector hasn’t been as long as our Fullblood division, however the last few years we have really tried to elevate our profile in this area. We have added some outstanding key females into this part of our program, have had some great walking bulls, but have relied much more on AI in this part of our program. Much of the same philosophy is applied in this sector. This spring we will breed about 100 Purebred females, with about 2/3 red & 1/3 black.

“Pendleton” is the real deal. From the day he hit the ground we knew he was good. When we were expanding our purebred division his Great Grandmother “Painted Smile”, was the crown jewel in a package of cows we bought. Now we fast track to “Brock” who is a bit of a secret weapon in our herd. I could be wrong but I think this is maybe Darryl Sniders favorite cow in our whole herd, she is awesome!! This is a cow who will enter our donor program, and is no stranger to producing the front end. She has progeny working for Roy & Dariel Sroka, Prinz Brothers, and raised our high selling Purebred bull a few years ago in “Eight Ball” selling to Soderglen Ranches. “Pendleton” is as good as it gets, and will be one hell of a bull.

We were very happy to have already acquired some semen on him the year before, especially after his untimely passing, so keep in mind these “Untouchable” cattle will become somewhat limited. “Kool Kat” comes from a family favorite cow coming from Triangle Stock Farms. She had unfortunately lost her calf the year before so she ran dry for the summer, and as a result added a couple extra pounds into “Kamari” when he was born. Look at the exceptional length of spine in this bull and combined with the sheer size of this cow, I honestly would have been disappointed with much less. This is a bull that would excel on a set of straight Angus cows. Big performance baldie bull that will more than pay for himself on that first calf crop.

“Jenga” has been a favorite of mine in the red division since he was a calf. He is another that just had the look from the day he was born. We really have grown to appreciate the “Pillar” cattle as they offer calving ease with big growth. We purchased the dam of “Jenga” from Diamond B as a bred heifer. She had the misfortune of losing her first calf with a predator problem, but fostered a calf with no issues. This is a nice young cow that has certainly shown her potential with this guy. “Jenga” is a powerful dark red super hairy thick made bull who is very correctly put together. This bull has a future for sure.

This is great bull with a hint of Fleckvieh in his background tracing back to some great genetics there as well. “Kieran” is quite likely the sleeper in the red section. He comes from an extremely productive cow who has produced offspring for Trenson Farms, Bill Orlick, Starwest Farms, Schwengler Farms, and last year’s full brother selling to Dennis Herman. This is a moderate framed bull, who is dark brown, and for anyone looking to add the Simmental influence on a set of white or buckskin cows to create those tan steer calves, well this is your lucky day. I feel as though there is much more performance to this guy than what you see on paper, and at the end of the day he will sire a set of exceptional market steers.

Every calf has been exceptionally good, so same old story when it’s not broke don’t fix it. We have bred several of our black heifers back to “Barbossa” over the years, and “Devan” the dam of this bull is our only red one we have. This is a smashing good cow. “Brock” the dam of lot #82 is my personal favorite black cow, but running a close second would have to be “Kadri’s” dam. Now we haven’t owned this cow very long, as I mentioned in our Purebred back story, we have really tried to elevate this division with the addition of some key females. “Kadri’s” dam was a high selling cow we added into our herd from the WLB dispersal. This is only her second calf for ourselves with last year’s bull being one of our high selling Purebred bulls, however she is very much a proven cow with a proven track record doing great things for Bill & Nancy in her time there. Not much guess work with this guy as he develops, he is only going to get better with time.

She has added a few really good daughters into our own program and a couple bulls who reside at South Peace Colony & Craigmyle Colony. “Kalibur” is a very complete bull who will work well on a set of red or black cows. We have used “Sleep Easy” the last couple of years in the heifer pen, and have been really impressed with the job this bull does. He is aptly named, as he calves extremely well on heifers, but the calves also have lots of go in them. This is a bull Karen talks about quite often, and it is hard to believe when you look at him that this is a bull we will pitch as a calving ease candidate and not a power bull. The best part though is he does double down and will also add power. “Klifford” is as stout as they come, with great bone structure, and a smooth shoulder set. He is an easy keeping bull from a really nice young “Excalibur” cow. This bull could be a secret weapon for sure.

Well last year’s we switched things up and gave him a cut of front-end red cows as well. As our purebred numbers are smaller and just trying to keep new and fresh genetics for our repeat customers, we have sold an extremely limited amount of Red “Matador” sons. “Kolby” is the lone Red bull from this sire group, but he is exactly what we were expecting to get. This bull is an absolute tank, and backed by an exceptionally good cow family with lots of longevity in it as well. This bull is a super candidate to create replacement females and with “56U” in the background the pedigree says so too. He is a bull that will not disappoint.

When I mentioned we have tried to add a little more profile and cow power into our herd, “Fae” is the very first cow who comes to my mind. We really appreciate the “Top Tier” bull, so when the dispersal of WLB came up and his dam was available we seized the opportunity. We did have the misfortune of having to cull last year’s calf due to an injury to his chest on pasture, however she has more than made up for it with “Superman”. We are huge fans of “Tycoon” and with a very limited semen supply on him, and that which is available is priced accordingly, we used him on just a few select females. I really feel as though “Superman” has an incredibly bright future, and based on marketability alone, the sky is the limit. Aim for the stars and unleash his superpowers in your own herd. “Superman!!”

He has a slight tip to his ears, and well he is not the prettiest bull in the pen. This bull will have to work extra hard just to impress you and show you how good he really is. Mackenzie showed a full sister to him in “Fantasia” at the National YCS when it was in Olds, where she did extremely well. We liked the cross so well we duplicated it a couple more times. “Kaptain’s” dam is the second oldest cow on the farm this year at age 14 and showing no signs of slowing down. We started our Purebred section with a “Pillar” son and will end with one too. When I was first told you can use “Pillar” on heifers I have to admit I was skeptical, as this bull is a big powerhouse, but that is exactly the case. He calves so well, but then bam, he gives you all this growth. We appreciate the bull so much that we purchased his full sister this fall from the Sun Rise Dispersal. “Karson” is a bull with a very unique blend in pedigree, as “Raptor” is kind of the same story as “Pillar” a bull you can use on heifers, but expect big growth. Well with both these bulls top and bottom of “Karson’s” pedigree, I suspect he will be a bull that can suit everyone’s needs. A bull you can put into any pasture on your farm.

Commercial Heifers

Mom and Dad will be selling their entire heifer calf crop again this year, as they are at the stage where they are no longer wanting to retain heifers. No the numbers aren’t huge but the quality is high. We did not clip the heifers for the catalogue just due to time restraints and trying to make catalogue deadline. The pictures you see will be sisters, as they will be from the same group of cows, and for the most part sired by the same bulls as the previous sales. Their cows run with ours so the health protocol is exactly the same as the bulls, and we will palpate the heifers prior to the sale to ensure breeding soundness. Even though Mom & Dad are not retaining heifers for themselves, we still culled these heifers as though they would be retained for themselves, so buy with confidence knowing they are the cream of the crop.

Charolais Division

I’ve often said if I was to start back up in the Simmental breed, we would source a set of proven cows from a herd and try to build a nucleus around them. Well that is essentially what happened with our start into the Charolais breed. We have always appreciated the breed for their performance and how well they do in the feedlots. Sure I will sound bias because we have both breeds but personally when selling calves in the fall at the local auction market, as an auctioneer Simmental & Charolais calves seem to ring the bell on the most consistent basis. Not to mention the breeds complement each other so well, they are very easy to feed together. A big thanks to Bob Burla for giving us the opportunity to add a huge number of his cows into our program. This is an awesome set of females we were able to sort through with huge emphasis on, foot structure, disposition, hair, milk, and performance. We were able to assemble cow families and although this is a relatively new venture for us this is an established breeding program that I think you will see is very evident when you sort through this group of bulls. This spring we will calve 70 Charolais, and will complement our Simmental offering for many years to come. Buy with confidence as there is a lifetime of devoted breeding decisions behind the production of these bulls.

“Korban” is a big power bull. When we assembled this group of cows, that’s what we were after was performance, high powered genetics that will offer extra pounds in the fall. “Korban” is the poster child for that, and arguably the best Charolais Bull in the pen. This is a bull with exceptional length, great bone, lots of hair, and he looks the part too. We are super impressed with the “Heavy Duty” cattle and unfortunately with the bull being lost this past year his semen will be on short supply. This is a true herd bull.

When we selected cows, we selected big performance cows. Yes, you will see a bit more birth weight in some of these calves but two factors that must be remembered. Size of cow, and build of the calf.

“Krimson” is a smooth built bull who is put together right. This is a cow we kept coming back to, as she has produced high sellers for Bob in the past, but also her sons that have been sold in the past are bulls I have scored very well. “Kampo” is one of the youngest bulls in the group, and from one of my favorite cows of the group as well. When we selected cows, we were able to get “Barbara” as well as a couple of her daughter and granddaughters. “Kampo” is a bull that even though he was younger than the majority, he was a bull that was very easy to find throughout the summer. His dam is an easy fleshing broody angular female, with a huge top and is extremely capacious and deep sided. I think this bull will just continue to get better and better with time. If Two-year-olds is your program I may suggest buy this guy as your insurance package and turn him out as a two-year-old next year. I have a feeling as a two-year-old he could be a fan favorite, but you will like him as a yearling as well and he is more than ready to do the job now. The choice is yours.

“Kavanaugh & Klifton” are a set of twins that are pretty impressive. “Klifton” was raised on a foster mom, but as you can tell these two pretty well kept pace with each other right from day one. The dam of these bulls is an extremely thick broody cow with hair that any clubby fan would love to see. This will be a pair of bulls I’m confident will just mature to be an awesome pair of mature bulls that will add growth, pounds and hair to any set of calves. I’ve said it before and I will say it again. If you run multiple bulls in a pen, you can’t go wrong with a set of twins as you will breed in some consistency for sure.

When we selected cows, we just chose cows we felt were highly functional, sound and had the potential to achieve the goal and vision we had in mind. Little did we know that “Cupcake” would go on to be recognized as a Gold Star dam of Distinction this year. “Monarch” is a bull with huge upside. He is an extremely long spined bull, with lots of hair, great feet with lots of depth of heel, and just watch this guy move. He prowls like a cat I’m sure much like a 20 year old Joe Farris. This guy can motor and will darn sure cover some ground and some cows at the same time. I think this bull would absolutely hit a home run on a set of straight British cows. The bull is good then keep the dam in mind as well, he’s all that.

ANCHOR D SAMBUCA 135K

Mackenzie & Garren

The day “Sambuca” was born we knew we had something special on our hands. We are maybe new to the Charolais world but a good one is a good one in whatever breed or color. “Daisy Duke” is without questions one of the center pieces in our Charolais program. Her daughter was actually our very first Charolais female we purchased so when we had the opportunity to bring home her mom, we jumped on it. This is my personal favorite of the Charolais bulls. I love everything about him. He is so stout made, broad topped, square based, loaded with hair, and that muscle is as natural as it gets. His sire “Go North” demanded a lot of attention when he sold, and then you think about his grand sire “Jehu” just WOW!! Not only is “Sambuca” good, but he has the pedigree to back him up as well. This is a herd bull that you could wear out a new truck to find another like him.

2022 was an exciting year!

Another tremendous “Go North” son, that appears to have all the right stuff in all the right places. We have been very impressed with the grow in his calves. They all appear to have fantastic hair coats, appear very sound, and have great muscle shape and overall appearance. “Kactus” comes from a very different pedigree on the bottom side to many of our Charolais cows. This is an outstanding female that honestly has everything going for her. “Kactus” is also one of our younger bulls, but has really maintained pace with the front end of the pen and I really feel this bull is going to develop into something extremely special, and has the added bonus of being Homozygous Polled.

“Korwyn” comes from quite likely the biggest cow on the farm. His dam “Brown Sugar” is a big tan, gentle giant. If you are looking to add extra pounds in the fall, “Korwyn” will certainly do that job for you. He has just a hint of color to him, and his dam has produced high selling bulls in the past. I think the cross to “Go North” is very complimentary and really brings out the best features in both sides. This is a bull that has impressed me as a calf and just continues to do so now. He is a bull that will cross well on a broad cross section of cows and the result will be superior performance cattle.

“Kornell” comes from our lone “Gridmaker” cow, and I can’t help but be impressed with this female. She is a cow that has produced many bulls in the past, many of which have been at the top end of Bob’s sale. We were fortunate enough to also add a daughter of hers into our herd, who shows all the right signs of being every bit as broody and powerful as her dam. “Kornell” is the second youngest of the “Go North” bulls, and has probably made the biggest change in the pen since weaning. This will be another powerful bull that will add extra length, and extra pounds on a very sound footed, smooth fronted bull. He will be very impressive when he completely matures.

“Kieffer” comes from another cow family we were fortunate enough to acquire several pieces of. His grand dam “Abbi” has entered into the donor program, and we have daughters, great granddaughters and sisters to her in our program now. Our focus when acquiring the Charolais cows was for the development of a set of bulls to offer a terminal cross. However, having said that you must still maintain a cow herd in that development and that process, which is why we focused so heavily on cow families. If you are to consider keeping females from the Charolais bulls, “Kieffer” is certainly a bull I would have high on that list as this is an outstanding cow family loaded with milk. So many options with this bull.

“Krown Royal” will be the calving ease specialist of the group. His sire “Vision” was used on the registered Charolais heifers as well as cleanup on cows. This bull is extremely easy calving, but I am very impressed with the growth and performance on him and his calves. If you are looking for a Charolais bull to use on heifers this will be an excellent choice. Long and smooth but still packing that performance we all seek to have. His dam is also a very smooth fronted female, so I feel this guy will be virtually bomb proof. If you want to sit back and enjoy a little “Krown Royal” start right here.

The final bull in this year’s offering and he will be the lone “Defender” son. We have a handful of “Defender” daughters in our herd and I am very impressed with them on a whole. They are deep solid made females with exceptional feet and legs, lots of hair and great temperament. They appear to have more than enough milk, and I think could develop into being some of the top cows. This particular bull comes from a big high horse power cow, and even though he is the youngest of this group I can’t help but think he is going to develop into being one of the biggest high power bulls. A bull that will be more than ready to throw into work in the spring, and as a mature bull I think you will pat yourself on the back for the great decision you made in his purchase.
