WRITERS CORNER RICK TIGER By Danny Joines
Rick Tiger has a way with words. Weaving a lyrical web of emotion that is simple, yet complex, his canvas is the heart and soul of the listener and he draws from his own heart and soul to delivery a roller-coaster ride of laughter and tears. The realness in the delivery of both the story and the

song will keep you on the edge of your seat. I heard Rick for the first time during a writers night at The Listening Room in Nashville Tn. Rick was hosting with Craig Morgan and had invited us to the event. It was a cold night but inside The Listening Room there was an air of excitement, and expectation. In 1991 Rick and Craig co-wrote a song that was recorded by Western Flyer and released as a single. The song fit within the Positive Message / Christian Country genre and was titled "What Will You Do With M-E". Since then Rick has written many NOMADIC

songs that speak to the heart. His newest album "Uniforms" features songs like "Prayin Man", "Uniforms" and "Why I've Been Drinkin". Cuts from previus albums include songs like "This Old" and "Would It Be Ok". Tiger has written songs that were cut by such artists as Joe Nickols, Montgomery Gentry, The Del McCoury Band and Jeff Bates to name a few. National Release Holly Norman, Chosen To Fly video had its world premiere on Sundays Kind Of Country and in two days got over twenty thousand views. Holly wrote the song after hearing the news about the shootings in Florida. The song was produced by Ernie Rowell at Funhouse Studios in Nashville Tn.
Wanna Be Nashville, TN (March 27, 2018) – StowTown Records artist, Matt Reith of Southern Raised, has been honored with an award in a Christian short film competition. Matt’s video, Wanna Be, features the Southern Raised song “Wanna Be”, which is on their current StowTown Records project, Another World, distributed by Sony/Provident Distribution.

I NEVER THOUGHT OF HAVING PLATINUM ALBUMS
May 4th 1959 marked the beginning of what would be known as mega country star Randy Travis. His real name was Randy Traywick and he was born into a family that loved country music.

Randy made the move to Nashville in 1981 to pursue a career in country music. He was picked up by Warner Brothers Records and had his first single release that went to number 1 on the charts called "On The Other Hand".

Randy had 16 number 1 hits out of 50 single releases many of which fell into the genre of Positive Message Christian Country. Songs like "Forever and Ever Amen", "Deeper Than The Holler", "He Walked On Water", "The Box", "Oscar The Angel", "Every Head Bowed",

On July 7, 2013, Randy Travis was admitted in critical condition to a Dallas hospital for viral cardiomyopathy after a viral upper respiratory infection. Three days later, he suffered a massive stroke and had surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. He spent over 5 ½ months in the ICU of various hospitals. He currently has difficulty speaking and is unable to walk or care for himself without assistance. The Randy Travis Foundation is a charity dedicated to raising awareness for viral cardiomyopathy and providing arts and music enrichment for children. The two-part purpose connects a diverse group of people to support and find a cure for viral cardiomyopathy along with providing

opportunities for at-risk children to participate in arts and music programs. The foundation mission is to serve those affected by viral cardiomyopathy by facilitating research and support for individuals affected by the condition along with creating opportunities for involvement in enrichment programs for children.
SOUTHERN HALO Rising Country Trio, Southern Halo have a brand new Album and the first single release from that album was "Anything Is Possible". "Our first single from our upcoming album is about conquering anything you put your heart, soul, and mind to," said Natalia. the word and song Nashville, Tn became home for Tim Menzies in 1980 when he made the move to pursue a career in country music. This lead to the forming of a band called Bandanna and signing with Warner Brothers. As time went on he became a session musician playing for many of country musics biggest names.
In 1985 Tims writing talent caught the ear of Bob Beckman and got him a deal with Combine Music It wasnt long before his talent drew the attention of Nashville Producer Bob Montgomery. In 1989 they teamed up and put out the album 'Stone By Stone". Then in 1992 James Stroud produced "This Ol Heart"

Southern Raised, four siblings who sing and play a variety of traditional American Folk Instruments, make up this influential Americana band. The blend of there harmonies and the level of talent that is evident as they play their respective instruments leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat with expectation. We had Southern Raised in the studio during the past several weeks shooting an episode of Harmony Road Tv that they were guest hosting. CHRISTIAN DAVIS Christian Davis hits the road with his new album this month. He kicked off the summer tour at Salmon Lake Park's Texas Bluegrass Festival in Grapeland Texas. The album is a Bluegrass / Americana mix featuring songs like "Hands Of A Working Man', "Singing Mamma To Sleep","Rosine I Cry", and "It's Gonna Be A Good Day".

The single release of "It's Gonna Be A Good Day" will happen this month as well and the album will be available by the end of the month.
