A WORD FROM PETER

I am excited to join the BigDog team and be stepping into the role of Operations Manager. I’ve worked across a number of industries with project management experience across government, construction and IT. I’m looking forward to bringing those experiences across and continue to help carry-on and build upon the proud BigDog legacy.

It's been a warm welcome over the last few days I’ve had the opportunity to meet many in the team in Toowoomba, and I’m looking forward to getting up to Rockhampton and meeting more of the BigDog team to support the great work you all do.

I’m Brisbane born, and Cairns bred and am a proud Queenslander. Outside of work - I am a big sports fan (go Broncos!), and I enjoy getting outdoors and exercising.

I have a growing family that includes my wife Lucy, an ener 3 year old son Denver, a baby daughter on the way and also boofhead Staffy ‘Rocco’.

Over time I look forward to meeting you all, getting to know each other and working together to enable you all to deliver high quality support to our clients and participants. Feel free to reach out and say hello!

DAY SERVICE ROCKHAMPTON

Exercise and Adventure

March has been another fantastic month for Rocky Day Service, filled with fun activities and memorable experiences. We continued with our regular routine of library visits, grocery shopping, cooking, 10-pin bowling, and pub lunches activities that bring joy and connection to our community

Throughout the month, we had numerous visits to feed some local horses, which gave everyone a chance to enjoy the outdoors and interact with the animals. On one of the rainy days, we gathered together for a cozy movie afternoon, complete with popcorn and lollies It was a perfect way to relax and enjoy each other’s company

We ventured out to the driving range, where we’re sure we’ll see some new golf pros in the making. Mark my words there's some real talent among us! Another highlight of the month was our visit to the Northside pool, where we had a wonderful swim and then enjoyed some delicious pizza on a bright, sunny Friday afternoon.

The perfect weather made the day even more special.

Later in the month, we headed down to the Causeway for a fishing trip While we didn’t catch anything this time, we’re confident that the fish better watch out next time! The outdoor adventures were a great way to spend time together and enjoy nature.

A standout event was our day trip to Yeppoon. We started the day with some delicious hot chips before heading to the beautiful lagoon for a swim. To top off the perfect day, we treated ourselves to some frozen cokes The day was a wonderful mix of relaxation and fun. We wrapped up the month with a trip to Gladstone Harbour, where we enjoyed sausages on bread while taking in the lovely surroundings.
