Dr. Stone pays attention to the smallest details, something that helps set her practice apart from others. Patients are provided with 3D movie glasses during appointments, as well as complimentary nitrous oxide (laughing gas) if needed. She has made it a point to create a hospitable environment, so going to the dentist can be an enjoyable experience for all.

Dr. Stone has put in a tremendous amount of effort to ensure patients feel safe coming to her office during the pandemic. “We follow a thoughtful and cautious approach to interacting with patients,” she says.

For all staff, she has implemented new PPE protocols. Maintaining a safe and protected environment is a priority and through extensive safety precautions, patients are comfortable and eager about scheduling office visits. Apprehensive patients find these added protocols reassuring, and the staff strives to make them enjoy their experience as they receive the treatment they need and deserve.

and communicating with patients are governing principles. They help Dr. Paul L. Dionne cultivate strong relationships so he can serve patients to the best of his ability.

Dr. Dionne specializes in general dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation. As the name of his practice suggests, he also treats snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (through oral appliance therapy [OAT]). “OAT is a noninvasive treatment using a dental appliance that looks like a sports mouth guard,” explains Dr. Dionne. “It’s worn during sleep, supporting the jaw in a forward position, to help maintain an open upper airway. It’s considered an effective alternative to CPAP therapy, which involves sleeping with a face mask connected by tubing to a constantly running machine.”

To ensure he’s safely accommodating patients during the pandemic, Dr. Dionne has equipped each exam room, waiting room and hallway with a UV Light HEPA air filtration system. After each patient visit, he sterilizes with a hypochlorous acid (a safe, nontoxic biocide and powerful agent that quickly kills viruses on surfaces and air) fogger. In addition, “The Defender” HEPA Filter Evac System is used chairside for aerosol producing dental procedures.

Dr. Dionne is community-oriented and located across the street from Mountainside Medical Hospital, where he serves on the staff overseeing dental residents. During the lockdown, he remained open to handle dental emergencies.
