The varying scale and size of our projects means you have the opportunity to work as part of a small, close-knit team or oversee a large team of several hundred people, dealing with multi-million dollar budgets. This variety means work is never dull at PSN.

What we are looking for

e are looking for people who use their initiative, are positive and energetic, and will thrive in our multi-discipline and team environment. We offer a structured engineering or commercial training programme in your chosen field, if you have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree. There are engineering vacancies in; chemical; electrical; instrumentation; mechanical; metallurgy; structural; and safety engineering and there are commercial vacancies in; cost; planning; estimating; contracts; subcontracts; procurement; HSEQ; and accountancy and finance. How you will develop

W

e offer our graduates a thorough insight into the industry through technical and personal development activities, mentoring, and rotation around different projects worldwide. As a graduate you will enter a structured two-year training programme that gives you the best possible start in your chosen field. This programme includes extensive on the job training, internal and external training courses, and access to specific graduate development modules including our Developing Professional Programme. There will be opportunities to develop and take on real responsibilities early in your career, for instance, a recent major contract involved the transfer of 300 employees from the previous incumbent to PSN employment; despite the complexities, a graduate took the lead role and did a great job.

Our graduate programme has received external accreditation from ICE, IChemE and IMechE and we continue to look to our graduates for suggestions and inspiration for improvements. Get an extra week’s holiday a year We offer 25 flexible days of holiday entitlement with an additional four fixed public holidays and four flexible holidays on an annual basis.

Develop your career Our staff development programmes have won us the Scottish Offshore Achievement Award in Succeeding Through People in 2004 and 2007.

Start the weekend on a Thursday The Alternative Working Week Scheme gives employees the opportunity to work a nine-day fortnight. This provides up to 20 extra days holiday per year.

“I work the AWW and think this is one of the best benefits any company could offer. The additional days off a year allow me to plan long weekends away without using up any of my holiday days, and its always beneficial running errands on a working day because of easier access to banks, post offices etc and still not losing any of your holiday days.
