NEWS
NEW CT SCANNER NEEDED – STAT! We are in need of a new CT Scanner. "CT Scan is a vital piece of diagnostic equipment and essential in hospitals, especially rural hospitals like Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital,” shared Dr. Joshua Pacheco, Emergency Medicine Physician at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. "It is the single most important imaging tool in an emergency department, often used to assist in diagnosing trauma or acute care when a patient is in severe pain and or need of immediate stabilization." Over the past 7 years the number of CT Scans performed at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital increased by 63%, nearly 4,500 scans during the last fiscal year. This increase is expected to continue. The next closest CT Scan is 47 miles away, therefore the need for this technology is great and your support is appreciated. Joshua Pacheco, MD, Emergency Department
