We hate wastage‌ but there are few to no ways to save rotting fruits. Our quest unearthed this awesome fact that the heightened enzymes in over ripe fruits work wonders on the hair‌so here are some gems we tried out and loved: 1. One banana and a spoon of honey blended in the mixer. Add a dash of curd if the mixture appears too thick. Apply on hair from root to tip. Wash after 20 minutes.

2. Scrape the cream from the bottom of a tender coconut, microwave this and use this to massage your scalp. And then apply the rest on your hair from root to tip. Leave for an hour and wash.

3. Papayas are loaded with all sorts of enzymes that do beautiful things to your hair and skin. For your hair, make a paste of papaya, curd and honey, apply to hair and wash after 20 minutes.

4. Now that strawberries are freely available and are actually fairly reasonably priced, for those of you with oily scalps‌ massage your scalp with crushed strawberries, leave for 30 minutes; thank us after you wash your hair.

5. Oranges are probably the first things that come to mind when we think Vitamin C. But citrus fruits also have an uncanny ability to combat oil. Massage orange juice in to your roots, leave for 20 minutes and wash. You will find that this delays the oil build-up up to 24 hours.
