Fresh vegetables and seeds are a welcome blessing to the body & work well for the look you are aiming for. Not only do they contains tons of antioxidants but also essential vitamins and minerals. Add lettuce, beans, broccoli, tomatoes, to name a few. Toss in some flax, chia, or hemp seeds to add to the crunch and you’ve got your dose of fiber as well. These salads usually last through the day so you can always pack it in a box and carry it along to avoid snacking on junk.
Add a dollop of homemade curd to add some volume to your meal. The curd will soothe your tummy and add oodles of good bacteria to aid digestion.
Dry fruits: When in doubt, keep it simple. A small box stuffed with dry fruits will not only keep you going all day long but will also work wonders for the perfect glow you’re looking for. A handful of dry fruits will give you enough energy to get you through a stressful couple of hours and also kill you hunger to you don’t binge on junk. Sustained consumption of dry fruits will also keep cholesterol at bay and prevent anemia. To prevent them from going too soft, dry roast the dry fruits and add a spot of sea salt to turn them into a tasty snack!
Fresh fruits: If you feel like a dessert, just pick up the nearest fruit and gobble it down like nobody’s business. The natural sugars in the fruits will give you your much needed energy kick as well. Add some antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins, and you’ve got yourself a wonderful little powerhouse of natural wonder. Grab an apple, a banana, a bunch of grapes, or a cute little pomegranate and go to town on that bad boy!
Greens: Enough has been said about greens but even then it’s never enough. Packed with iron, vitamins, minerals, and taste, these veggies are so simply delicious and easy to cook that you can gobble them down just about anytime. Be it palak, methi, or mooli leaves. Simply blanch these babies and toss them in a sandwich mix or a kadhai with potatoes to make a wholesome meal with parathas.
Legumes: These little beans have an insane amount of health benefits. They’re high in protein and energy with a relatively low calorie count. Toss some rajma, chholey, or heavy dals in a cooker and toss with some salt & veggies to make a wholesome salad for yourself.
