A few home remedies to remove split ends: 1. HOT OIL CONDITIONING: Hot oil conditioning is one of the most and oldest used technique to get rid of split ends. Heat your favorite flavored oil till its nice and warm and massage it in gently on your scalp. Leave it on for 45 minutes to an hour. For extremely dry hair one can leave it on overnight as well. Wash it off with lukewarm water and mild shampoo. 2. PAPAYA: Papaya is a good source of natural amino acids, anti-oxidants and tons of necessary vitamins. Take a ripe papaya and half a cup of natural yogurt. Blend them till the mixture is smooth and thick. Apply to your hair and leave for 30 minutes before washing it off with cold water. Shampoo. 3. USE MAYONNAISE: One of the most foolproof remedies for split ends, dry hair and dandruff is mayonnaise. It’s creamy texture repairs and nourishes dry hair. Apply about half a cup of mayonnaise onto your towel dried hair (quantity depends upon hair length) and not just the roots. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes. Shampoo well in cold water.


4. EGG MASK: Eggs will help you strengthen the roots as well as condition your hair to get rid of split ends. The first type of hair mask includes- 1 egg and 1 cup curd. whisk this together and apply it to your hair. The second hair mask includes 1 egg yolk with 2-3 table spoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of honey. Again whisk this together and apply it to your strands. Leave both the masks for an hour or so and then wash it off. 5. HONEY: The sweet nectar is as good for your hair as it is in your morning tea. Mix some honey and curd till the paste is thick. Apply to the ends of your hair. Wash it off after 30 minutes or so with a mild, hair-friendly shampoo for lustrous, healthy hair. 6. CREAM: Mix a tablespoon of cream with half cup of milk. Whisk it thoroughly. Apply this mixture to your hair for 15 minutes and then wash it out. 7. BANANA: Mash a ripe banana. Add an egg, some honey and a little milk into mashed banana and apply it as a hair mask. Wash and rinse after half an hour.


8. FENUGREEK: Make a fine paste of ground fenugreek seeds and curd. Use this as a hair pack. Wash it after two hours to get silky smooth hair. This natural home remedy will also treat your split ends. 9. VITAMIN E CAPSULES: Mix the oil of 2-3 Vitamin E capsules in lukewarm water and massage the split strands with it. This is an effective remedy to treat split ends.
