> New 2,200 m2 space The surface area of the new space will take in the rear esplanade on the east side of the current building. It structure will provide the zone with a new urban image and will use the many opportunities regarding pedestrian and delivery vehicle entrances. It is undeniably a place that is well-connected. However, the external appearance of the constructed area will not change the general look of the more paradigmatic and well-known faรงade of the existing building: The elevation towards the Estuary and the pool. The outcome will be a very clearly defined space: a large area of 2,200 m2 that will be directly connected to the current Exhibition Lobby and create a total exhibition area of 4,200 m2.

The new space will be unified under a large metal roof. Meeting rooms in different formats will be possible thanks to compartmentalization systems using motorised mobile panels. Different alternatives will be available ranging from a single room, suitable as a venue for up to 418 people, to smaller rooms, each with a capacity of 250 and 162 people. The type of panels and their inner system will guarantee the ideal insulation and acoustic conditions to host the activity. It will be fitted with the required translation, audio and projection infrastructures.

> Service, Sustainability and Accessibility A noteworthy aspect is the new entrance that will provide better, more convenient, fast and general access to the conference area. Its external appearance will blend in perfectly with the other two main entrances to the Conference Centre and there will be escalators and a lift to Avda. Abandoibarra. Future users of the extension will have two accreditation areas with a cloakroom, which will significantly increase the current capacity of this service, and the new toilet facilities will double the existing ones. Two new goods lifts will connect the storage areas with the two kitchen levels and the different foyers or hallways. The basement areas will also be reorganised to provide new storage points, which are badly needed. Special mention should also be made of small vehicles access to the exhibition area.

> Avant-garde Architecture The new large central area will provide an industrial and clean image. The metal roof will be large in size and will feature many different profiles in terms of aspect and nature. It will be the formal and material key feature of the centre. The granite floor will be the finishing touch that will link the extension to the existing lobby. Steel and glass, concrete walls and supports, granite and materials will be used to provide a direct impact given that their texture or their strength will be on view. The visibility offered throughout the extension of the roof will be a fundamental key feature. The solution adopted will allow clarity to flood in towards the inner area, with a system of lights in the form of crests or inverted "Vs" similar to the so-called teeth of a saw, but smaller in size. The juxtaposition of these parts will result in an irregular and vibrant landscape that should become a highly attractive formal element.
