BAR CONTEST IN BILBAO & BIZKAIA
The Bilbao-Bizkaia Txapelketa Pintxo Bar Contest has been held since 1997 as part of an initiative to promote bar top hospitality, turning into a fun food activity for all, to sample, savour and be seduced by. Having become a mark of quality over the years, the distinctive competition sign is displayed in the best pintxo venues in Bilbao, and number of choice venues throughout the province of Bizkaia. The sign announces this annual event held during the months of May and June where there is a select offering of specially prepared finger food cuisine for the event. Marked with a toothpick sized flag, the pintxos are both enjoyed by the public and judged by a panel of gourmets.
