These may be the same Pacific waves we know up North, but when you slip into your bikini a little further down the map, everything changes. But under her laidback demeanor lives a woman with serious ambitions. Her goals include traveling the world, being a positive influence for young women, and eventually owning a business. She’s quickly proving her merit as a seasoned athlete, too, commanding an uncommon grace and style on the wave. It’s hard to believe that Lola hasn’t been gliding across Sayulita’s perfect little waves her entire life—watching her surf is like watching a dancer perform as she twirls and skips across her longboard. But this roaming gypsy is a citizen of the world: born in Paris, she spent most of her life traveling the globe on a sailboat with her family before they landed on Mexico’s sunny shores and built Hotel Hafa, a colorful haven for bohemian surfers tucked away on a quiet street. With her worldly perspective and welcoming smile, she leads us to the ocean as if to remind us once more: home is where the surf is.

Self-described fashionista, media maven, and world-class surfer, Laura Enever not only understands the game, she revels in it. She tweets, blogs and blitzes both her followers as well as the media on all things surf, fun or fashion-related. Motto? Never leave home without coffee and cell-phone. Favorite book? Facebook. At 23, she runs with a pretty fun posse, moving at top speed from her beach house in North Narabeen, Australia, to Sydney Fashion Week to the Rio Pros as a top ranked professional surfer, only to settle down for the summer in Southern California, training, surfing and hob-knobbing with the surf industry’s elite. So it’s fitting her Billabong style is a reflection of her carefree personality: whimsical, unexpected, and built for the water. Can we “like” this twice?
