Famed speed painter shares talents to help local students (Canton, OH)– On Thursday, Oct. 1, United Way of Greater Stark County and its Women’s Leadership Council are celebrating love of great food and wine, art and most importantly, education. “For the Love of Learning” features Tim Decker, a nationally touring performance speed painter who paints celebrity portraits live in front of a crowd. Each painting takes roughly 4-­‐7 minutes and the whole experience is set to music. The event will be held at the Conference Center at Kent State University Stark in North Canton. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., starting with silent auction, appetizers, and cash bar. Tim Decker performs at 7:00 p.m. followed by a live auction of his portraits.
