Rosebud-Treasure County Fair returns to Forsyth July 16-19 Courtesy of Rosebud County Fair Board There’s something for everyone at the Rosebud-Treasure County Fair! Here’s a rundown of what you will find at the fair. Grandstand entertainment! Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 18! Great country entertainment returns to the fair this year with superstar Terri Clark headlining the Saturday night grandstand show. Terri’s show is sure to please, featuring hits like “Better Things to Do,” “Girls Lie Too,” “A Little Gasoline,” “One of the Guys,” “When Boy Meets Girl” and many more. Terri has had 37 hits in the country top 40, including six that went all the way to number one. Don’t miss this hit-filled show, which also features special guest Bryan White as the opening act. Tickets are on sale now; visit rosebudcountyfair.com to buy tickets. Fun for free! As always, the Free Stage offers a great lineup of entertainment. Thanks to generous donations, a group of sponsored picnic tables will be placed in the tent. So, grab a meal, head over to the tent and enjoy your food while watching the show in the shade! The Free Stage area also makes a great meeting place due to its central location near the carnival and grandstand. For country music lovers, Montana’s own Dakota Country will be performing several shows a day, and will also do late evening shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The party should last well into the night! For magic fans, Jeff Martin, “The Blond Curly Haired Magician,” will return to the fair for 2015. Jeff will bring his ever-growing collection of illusions to the Free Stage. He will also do strolling magic so be ready for him to pop up anywhere, anytime. Back for a return engagement this year, hypnotist Chris

Mabrey brings his edgy, clean, high energy, and best of all, fun show to the stage. Chris will do two shows each day, so get your friends together and get hypnotized. The smaller kids will love Curly’s Funtastic Kid Zone, a free supervised play area just for them. Over a dozen different games and activities will keep the kids busy while the adults tour the exhibition hall, visit with friends, or wander over to the concession area for food and refreshments. The Kid Zone will be open noon until 8 p.m. each day of the fair. Uncle Curly the clown will also stroll the grounds every day. The Kid Zone will be located just inside the front gate across from the Exhibition Hall. Everything else Start all your fair days with a delicious breakfast served by Rosebud County Search and Rescue. Breakfast is served all morning from 6:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the Search and Rescue Canopy next to the Exhibition Hall. During the rest of the day, take advantage of at least a dozen other food vendors along the midway. Most food vendors are open until 10 p.m. or later. (A list of food vendors will be posted at rosebudcountyfair.com as fair time approaches.) Visit the air conditioned Exhibition Hall to view 4-H and open class entries and plenty of commercial exhibits. Most judging will be completed by Friday so stop in and see how your favorites did. The Exhibition Hall is open from 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day of the fair. (Entries can be picked up starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday.) At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, take in the 4-H Market Stock Sale, and stock your freezer while you help a 4-H’er plan for the future. The Young Men’s Club Beer Booth will be open all four days. And be sure to visit the pavilion just east of the Exhibition Hall where you will find souvenirs, political information and, best of all, some welcome shade for relaxing. The Mighty Thomas Carnival makes another return to the midway with classic and modern rides to keep the kids

busy all weekend, and games galore too. Rides featured this year may include the Zipper, Gravitron, SuperShot, Barrelo-Fun, Tornado, Century Wheel and of course, an array of kiddie rides. Don’t forget to pick up your discounted advance wristbands which go on sale in early summer. You can play Knights of Columbus Bingo next to the concession stand on Friday and Sunday afternoons during the fair. Bingo will be played from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Sunday morning, Gospel music will return to the fair in a free performance courtesy of the Johnson Brothers band. Relax under the big tent and be inspired. Music begins at 9 a.m. Of course, the best part of the fair is socializing and meeting old and new friends. To make the good times roll, all you need is “fair food.” It’s not fair time without 4-H concessions featuring those famous fair-burgers. There will be an array of other food vendors including Thomas Carnival’s Midway Grill, featuring burgers, fries, corndogs and funnel cakes, and the Cola Corner in the Exhibition Hall sponsored by Forsyth FFA, featuring homemade goodies. There will be other food vendors on the grounds, too, so come and see what you can find. Over 40 total vendors (counting food and otherwise) will pack the grounds this year so be sure to check them all out! For those needing cash, there will be two ATMs located near the fair office and 4-H concession area. It all adds up to one of the best county fairs around, and it all comes with free gate admission and no parking fees! The Rosebud-Treasure County Fair Board is always open to suggestions, questions, comments and ideas from the public on how to make the fair better.Visit their Facebook page at facebook.com/rosebudcountyfair or send them an e-mail at rosebudcofair@rangeweb.net. Please note that events and schedules are subject to last minute changes. Watch their Facebook page for updates during the fair. We hope to see you at the fair this July!
