Project 01 "INN OF BIRDS" Ecological Mangrove Park Design This project, located in Southern Shenzhen, is a native mangrove park which provide a rest station for migrant birds from Siberia to Australia. In this project, I totally analyzed birds' habits, tide conditions and mangrove, and then discuss the communication and relationships between tourists and birds, human and nature.

Why Birds Come?

“INN of BIRDS”

Located in Shenzhen, One of the greatest metropolis in China, "INN of Birds" mangrove ecological park represents a concept of integrating human with nature and feral birds. As Shenzhen River runs smoothly into Shenzhen Bay, the mangrove along the bank baths in water, abundant food provided by mangrove and water attract millions of global migrant birds from Siberia and become the best “Inn” for them during the long journey . This project aims to build a space which not only provide leisure space for citizens but also create an intimate relationship between human and birds.

Project 02 "HIERARCHY OF TRIANGLE" Vest-pocket Square Design This project is a small scale urban design located in 6th Avenue and 22th Street, New York. Surrounded by high density commercial buildings, food streets and office buildings, this area has a huge average daily flow of people, much communication between people can happen here. The design aims to promote communication between people by creating various types of space and planning roads, Technique of the height stratification was used to made an effective way to crowd guidance.

Then the road and hard paving closely together, the use of different people's roads with different colors of the pavement to decorate, you can reach the crowd to this site, you can quickly and clearly understand the effect of their own use of the route.

Space Generation

Atmosphere

For the existing situation of the site analysis, high-density population areas are very closed to the activities of the venue is not conducive to crowd and traffic. Therefore, the design attempts to break the boundaries of the existing site, and let the internal space and external space to establish links. Finally, through the design itself, enrich the space level of the site, and finally the existing space and create the space of the combination. This is a space breakthrough and infiltration process. At the same time, this design itself, is also a view of my interpretation of landscape space.

Project 03 "DESTRUCTURE & RE-CONSTRUCTION" Transfer of Pablo Picasso's work This project is about a concrete tree house transferred from Pablo Picasso's work in 1938, "Dora Maar in Chair." We analyzed the picture from view of cubism and combine Picasso's experience and his emotion that time, try to restore the "shallow space", and then design a tree house which aim to promote people to rethink school bullying events.

Cooperated with Jinhui Lv Nov. 2017---Dec. 2017 Instructor: Zhehui Chang

Background and Emotion

School Bullying

Pablo Picasso have ever had over ten lovers during his life. They are Picasso's significant source of inspiration, almost everyone of them has been picasso's model sitting in a chair and portraited by him. Therefore, the series "XX in the chair" become a very important clue for us to study his work and his change in style.

School bullying is a type of bullying that occurs in an educational setting, which may leads to psychological and physical consequences that outlast the school day. School bullying can be physical, verbal or emotional in nature, it can have a wide spectrum of effects on a student including anger, depression, stress and even suicide. The person who is bullied is affected, and the bully can also grow up to develop different social disorders or have higher chances of engaging in criminal activity.
