The Printer
This 3D printer was built from scratch. Whilst not to a published design, it does use ideas learnt from reading the web. I decided to add the following features:
- Rigidity - Large Bed Size up to 400mm x 250mm - Accurately flat and level bed - Opto slotted end stops -

Tony’s 3D Print Designs All parts included in the projects within this leaflet were designed on ‘Openscad’ and were printed on a scratch-built, homemade 3D Printer which has a bed large enough to be able to print the many large parts. The Bagatelle
Grainger Road. Southend On Sea Essex SS2 5BZ - 01702 611027 Marble Machine Mark II
The bed travels on 16mm guides in the Y direction. Rigid supports hold the 12mm rails for the Z and X directions. The bed is heated using a standard printed heat panel, with additional power resistors if ABS temperatures are required. These are powered from the spare 5 volt power supply output, without regulation. The printer uses one E3D V5 hot end. It uses Marlin firmware which runs on an Arduino Mega processor.
