Marriages increased overall in from 137,250 marriages in 2010 to 140,900 in 2011, representing a 2.7% increase, which was preceded by five years of decline. People who get married later, such as the 35-39 year old bracket, get divorces far less often, and only make up 5 to 7 percent of divorces.

Florida Law dictates that up to 50% of marital assets are entitled to each spouse in a divorce, but none of your non-marital assets are automatically entitled.
