Exposure may aggravate those with pre-existing eye, skin, or respiratory conditions. Causes photosensitivity. Exposure to light can result in allergic reactions resulting in dermatologic lesions, which can vary from sunburn like responses to edematous, vesiculated lesions, or bullae. Shows cross-allergenicity with penicillin. Signs and symptoms of exposure – May induce lupus erythematosus. Can cause anorexia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting.
