BINEMIST

Ver 1.0

BINEMIST - THE BEGINNING May 2013 the SIM Binemist was first introduced to the SecondLife community. Ver 1.0 lasted for the rest of 2013 and this publication will present it through the eyes of some of the visitors. The pictures here can all be found on Flickr.

And remember: None of this is real, but it sure feels that way‌

The design of early Binemist was a Nordic beach at one corner, a forest and a farm at other corners. And then there was the small mountain where a church stood high looking out over the region.

When coming to Binemist you would land on a pier next to Pelle the Pelican and a sign that would welcome you if you clicked it

Conrod Lane The beach and the lighthouse were the first things you encountered on Binemist

A spiral staircase gave access to the mountain from the beach. It was a huge construction that was a feature of it’s own.

On top of the mountain the church stood looking out over the ocean. The church was a very detailed building by POST. No religious acts ever took place here. Someone had moved in and used it as a home.

Anjuni Jayaram There was a gorge between the 2 mountains and you had to cross a bridge to get to the church.

On top of the mountain, you would find 2 pieces by Bryn Oh: the big camera and the White Rabbit. There was also a Buddha surrounded by gear-flowers and tulips by Cica Ghost. The floating eye also resided here.

Inara Pey Going down the mountain to the West you would venture down into a forrest where the waves crashed against the cliffs as you went along the tree tunnel.

Charlie Namiboo The tree tunnel took you to the farm where lots of animals lived. There were a pig, sheep, a horse, a couple of cats, goats and lots of chickens.

Off the coast of the farm was a stranded Viking ship. No one knew who came on it or when it stranded. No one thought much about it. It was just there - off the coast.

A set of tyre tracks led from the farm along the shore with grass meadows to the left to a bigger grass meadow mirroring a grass meadow in Austria that I just visited (where my sweetheart lives). A water fall ran off the mountain.

The season changed, and with winter the garage got a lot more work with cars struggling in the snow.
