Catalogue 2014 Biodynamic and Organic Vegetable, Herb and Flower Seeds Dear Gardeners and Farmers, welcome to our nineteenth Catalogue. In the catalogue you will find popular well-tried older varieties and new varieties that have been bred by biodynamic breeders. All the seeds are produced from open-pollinating plants on a small scale by biodynamic and organic growers either here in this country or bought from other seed companies in Europe who also have a local network of growers producing the seeds. We find it important that seeds are produced as locally as possible and to tell you where the seeds come from. By each variety in the catalogue is a code, which refers to the grower (See page 2). The vegetables seeds are listed by which group they belong in, following the principles of the Biodynamic planting and sowing calendar. We have grouped them in the following order. Fruit, Leaf , Root, then Herbs, Flowers and Green manures. Please use the Index on Page 4 to find your way around this catalogue. By each biodynamic-bred variety is a special symbol, so you can find them more easily and hopefully many of you will consider trying them out in your garden or on your farm. We welcome any comments on the crops you grow from our seeds. Feedback is greatly valued because the process of improving varieties is on-going. We are now engaged with the Biodynamic Association and the Open-pollinated seed initiative in an exciting new Biodynamic seed project that encompasses Plant breeding, Seed growing and Education. Our vision is that seeds are far more than simply a means of production or a commodity. Cultivated plants and their varieties are invaluable elements of our cultural heritage. By cooperative working with farmers and gardeners we will undertake careful plant breeding and seed production of relevant food plants and so contribute to the health and development of cultivated plants the earth and humanity. At the end of the growing season when all seeds are harvested we need time for cleaning, grading and testing the seeds for germination. Because of this we can only send you our catalogue in early December. We try, however, to supply you with seeds all year round, but in autumn we may not have all varieties immediately available. It is now also possible to download our catalogue and order-forms from our website. www.stormy-hall-seeds.co.uk or follow the link to an online shop. You can also see photos of many of the varieties we offer. See also page 44 for how to order and our Term & Conditions. Growing seeds ourselves here at Stormy Hall means that we are often working out in the fields, especially in the summer and are not always able to answer your phone call. We will be pleased to receive your order by email, fax or post during this time. We thank all our customers and seed growers for their on going support and we hope that in the future we can keep meeting the demand for quality seed. All at Stormy Hall wish you a pleasant and fruitful gardening year.

Where we are unable to supply a particular variety we use our best judgement in providing a substitute to complete your order. Please state clearly if this is not acceptable.
Terms and Conditions All seeds sold are certified organic (GB-ORG-6) and where indicated Demeter certified. All seeds sold by Stormy Hall Seeds are supplied in accordance with EU seeds legislation. Germination tests according to the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) are carried out with all our seeds. In the event of seed failing to germinate under suitable conditions we will replace the seed or refund the purchase price. Please note that variety descriptions are for guidance only and that seed counts are provided as guidance and should be regarded as approximate. Stormy Hall Seeds will not be held responsible for any crop grown from seeds supplied by us and we will not be liable for any delay, consequential loss or injury arising as a result of the delivery or use of items ordered from this catalogue.
