Industry Executives, Government, Media and Small Business Owners in Attendance Featuring a Female-Led Panel Discussion: “Experiences with Global Trade”
A VIP luncheon at the first ever Innovation Expo celebrated Canadian success economically and socially by highlighting a panel of thriving woman CEOs and female led companies. Accompanying Bioenterprise’s commitment to representation and diversity in innovation, the panel offered in-depth discussions on international trade, mentorship among women in the industry, and the barriers facing small businesses from competition to governmental regulations. The panelists ranged in sector and experience, from companies that had passed through generations to find success to a brand-new venture from one of Canada’s youngest entrepreneurs. The discussion was accompanied by a beautifully catered meal and some excellent matchmaking opportunities for the forty key stakeholders present. Bioenterprise looks forward to continuing support for diversity and representation, and celebrating further Canadian successes in years to come.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS
Jon Duschinsky took time away from his ground-breaking work with Oreka Solutions, a previous recipient of Bioenterprise’s seed funding, to deliver an inspiring and energetic keynote address on the Innovation Expo main stage. Seasoned CEOs, government and academic delegates, and an encouraging number of students stood to watch as Duschinsky addressed the power of purpose driven companies to generate employee loyalty and big results. No surprise that his message was well received, as his own purpose shone through on stage, hitting home for many of the self-driven entrepreneurs passionately pursing their innovative visions. Duschinsky’s address was delivered, too, among the buzz of ongoing conversations at the many exhibitor booths, showcasing the ever-moving sector that he has discovered through his work with Oreka. Duschinsky has vast experience around the world with many ventures and is a celebrated social speaker as well. Bioenterprise and our partners are proud to have such a strong network of successful entrepreneurs, and to share that expertise with each company and attendee at the Innovation Expo.
