CHARACTERISTICS OF FEMUR “Y” INTRAMEDULLARY NAILS The basic feature of this nail is that it was developed for a non-boring operation technique. Its main characteristics are shown in the below pictures.

FEMUR “Y” SIZES The dimensional structure of the “Y” Nail was developed to cover a wide range of operational requirements. The short, 180mm to 240mm straight ones are applicable for both sides. The diameter size of the long nails is 11mm and their range of length is between 280mm and 480mm. The curve of the long nails follows the femur’s shape. There are other sizes available as well and the products can be ordered according to individual requirements.

SPECIFICATIONS OF GENOCEPHALICUS INTRAMEDULLARY NAILS The Bionika “T-Nail” has been developed for treating condylar fractures and is also known as Condyle Nail, Genocephalicus Nail or Retrograde Femoral Intramedullary Nail. The basic feature of this nail is that it was developed for a non-boring operation technique. Its main characteristics are shown in the below pictures.

STRAIGHT “T” NAIL

The Bionika “T Nail” System basically comprises two different types. The straight type nails are manufactured in between 150mm and 250mm length, with a diameter of 11mm. They are applicable in case of fractures close to the condyle end. Both the cross-screws and the distal interlocking screws can be inserted using aiming device.

ANATOMICAL “T” NAIL

The long “T Nails” follow the anatomical shape of the femur. The diameter of the arched nails is also 11mm, while their lengths vary between 260mm and 380mm. It is also applicable for simultaneously treating fractures both close to the condyle end of the femur and farther ones. The cross-screws of the proximal end can be inserted using an aiming device, while the distal pointing is to be carried out using a general distal aiming device.

SOLID HUMERAL INTRAMEDULLARY NAIL SPECIFICATIONS The main characteristics of this nail are shown in the below pictures.

The proximal end can be interlocked with 4mm screws. The axial compression is secured as shown in the picture. Oval borehole and compression screw is applied.

The solid nail has a 7-8mm round cross-section.

Interlocking the distal end can be carried out with 4 mm interlocking screws, using universal distal aiming device.

SALGĂ&#x201C; HUMERAL INTRAMEDULLARY NAIL SPECIFICATIONS The main characteristics of this nail are shown in the below pictures.

The proximal end can be interlocked with 4mm screws.

The distalis end of the cannulated nail can be fastened in the medullary cavity with fins opening in three different directions.

Interlocked condition can be secured by a locking knob turned leftwards using a long screwdriver introduced through the proximal end.
