New for Autumn Winter 2022, the Ando collection is one of our most ambitious yet. In Japanese, the word Ando means peace, comfort and calm - all of which have been the inspiration for this considered and timeless collection. Discover future heritage pieces that have been designed for life.

Soft, trailing florals coordinate with Japanese-inspired motifs, leafy bamboo prints and raw, earthy materials. The collection creates a rich, seasonal look through table linens and soft furnishings including cushions, wool throws and luxury hand-woven rugs. On tables, bobbin candlesticks sit against woven placemats, artisanal glassware and hand-crafted dining ceramics. A wide selection of lighting including table and floor lamps can be paired with shades in different styles, texture and design to suit any interior.

All pieces within the new collection can be mixed and styled with ease. Our winter colour palette of deep tones including russet reds, indigo blues and mossy greens layer harmoniously with one another allowing you to pick and choose your favourite pieces from the collection, whilst always creating a calm and relaxing interior.

Our goal for this collection has been to create unique future heritage pieces of the highest quality, designed and made to be cherished for years to come.

The Ando collection features a range of artisanal cushions, hand-woven rugs, wool throws and unique lampshades in an array of rich, autumnal colours - perfect for creating a warm and inviting interior in colder months. All of our pieces have been carefully designed and curated by Birdie to sit harmoniously within both previous and future collections. Colours, textures and prints are all thoughtfully considered, making it easy to mix and match, whilst always creating a cohesive and calming scheme.

Recreate the earthy and global Ando look with an abundance of texture and pattern, starting with our new Darya rug made by artisan weavers in the Faryab Province of Northern Afghanistan. The ‘Gabbeh’ design is achieved using natural dyes to create playful, abstracted patterns that are softened by the thick pile texture. This rug is a timeless piece, made to be cherished for years to come - versatile in nature, these unique rugs are perfect for adding warmth to wooden or stone floors. Bring comfort to your sofa with Shisho Embroidered velvet cushions; generous in size with a bespoke feather filled pad, these soft cushions are available in three rich colourways and are a winter staple. Add interest to your sofa scheme by layering Ando block printed cushions in complementary colours - bold geometrics and trailing floral designs balance a scheme and lift our spirits in the darker winter months. The goal for the new range is to create these feelings within your own home, particularly within a bedroom, which is so often our sanctuary. As the colder months draw in, we yearn for soft wool throws, deep colours and layered cushions to add comfort and warmth. Lighting is so important in the winter; a pair of bedside lamps with patterned, playful lampshades can brighten a bedroom by day and create a restful ambience by night.

Winter brings so many occasions for beautifully decorated tablescapes - ones where you can pull out all the stops! With our Ando collection you can celebrate in style this season and impress your guests as the collection is designed to make tablescaping enjoyable and easy. The Peony tablecloth is the hero piece and is available in two unique colourways - Blue with Rust Brown and Celadon Green with Pink. The knife pleated border gives this 100% linen tablecloth a luxurious look that is easy to dress up or style down depending on the occasion.
