WANT TO CREATE YOUR VERY OWN MAGICAL WONDERLAND FOR THE OCCASION OF YOUR CHOICE? Here’s how . . . On Sunday 24th July The REP pulled back the curtain on a showcase event that can only be described as a ‘magical wonderland’. Themes on display included ‘The Roaring 20s’, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and the glamorous era of the ‘New Romantics’. Guests were also treated to a rare glimpse behind the scenes on a backstage tour of the theatre. The event provided an opportunity for the theatre to demonstrate how it can transform any special event into something magical, unique and truly unforgettable. Events such as weddings, milestone birthdays, Christmas parties and private dinners are all catered for with a theatrical twist. As a licensed wedding venue, The REP offers a rare opportunity for couples to tie the knot on its famous stages and also has the capacity to host marriage ceremonies and private parties with up to 300 guests, and wedding breakfasts and banquets for 240 diners. Using lighting, props, back drops, and other tricks-of-the-trade, including quality costume hire, clients are guaranteed the sort of spectacle that only a theatre can provide! Events Sales and Marketing Manager at The REP Suzanna Reid said; “The day gave us a great opportunity to showcase our unique skills and the chance to demonstrate what differentiates us from other venues in the City. I regularly see the magic we’re capable of producing but still felt hugely impressed by what we presented on Sunday” One of the Guests Joanne Jenkinson said – “All I can say is wow! The REP has opened my eyes! Their attention to detail from design and performance right through to customer service was amazing. I feel the only limitation would be my own imagination.” Create your very own magical wonderland, contact: thespaces@birmingham-rep.co.uk
