The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, BIRN, is an independent network of six locally-registered, non-governmental organisations in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria active in the fields of media, good governance and consulting.
