Why I Chose Bishop McNamara
The BMHS Admissions Team is always so excited to welcome our prospective students and families to campus, especially in the fall and winter. This past school year, McNamara received over 600 applications and nearly 1,000 inquiries for 2022-2023, which made for a competitive admissions season!
Whether you’re just now learning about our school or you’ve been hearing about the “magic of McNamara” for years, we are looking forward to helping you discover all that our Mustang family has to offer while assisting you in selecting the best high school for your student.
Here are reflections from current freshmen parents about why they chose Bishop McNamara.
“I chose Bishop McNamara for multiple reasons. A school where community and fellowship are paired with academic excellence and encouragement is the place for me. I found that in BMHS.
I am looking forward to being pushed and challenged in everything I do, trying new things, and being part of a great community.” - Matthew Arzoumanian '26
“We love the inherent sense of community at BMHS, the warm welcome every time we come in the door, and the endless possibilities for our son at this school. Also, the huge smile on his face and total excitement when he came home from his shadow day.
We are looking forward to being part of the BMHS community, confident that our son will be challenged and supported for four years, and we are excited to see the person BMHS will help him become.” - Mr. Zaven Arzomanian & Ms. Sian MacAdam, parents of Matthew Arzoumanian '26

“I chose Bishop McNamara because of the community -- it is like no other. From day one, after experiencing all of the love, support and hospitality McNamara provided, I knew it was the school for me.
As a new student at Bishop McNamara, I am most looking forward to the experience of being a part of something so different, where I am constantly growing and learning about life as a new student in a new environment surrounded by new and amazing people.” - Madison Bridges ‘26
“From the point I stepped through the doors, I felt a strong sense of community, pride, and shared values of family, belonging, and acceptance at BMHS. I experienced an excitement from my interactions with students, faculty and the administration. However, the most important reason why I chose BMHS was the belief and confidence I felt that my daughter would be protected, nurtured, and challenged to achieve what she once believed were her ‘impossibles’.
I'm looking forward to seeing my daughter's growth and development as she progresses throughout the years. My most pivotal and highly anticipated moments will come from watching her excel from being immersed in an environment like BMHS that fosters innovative learning and diverse experiences.” - Ms. Renita Bridges, mother of Madison Bridges ‘26
