Congratulations to Larry Wingfield '22, for winning a silver medal and an academic scholarship from the NAACP at the 45th National ACT-SO Competition this summer! Larry is having a great start at Berklee College of Music, and lives in the same dorm building as Christian Inman ‘22. n
We were excited to welcome our new Moreau Fellow and personal finance teacher, Ethan Gaskin '13 at the start of the school year. Bishop McNamara is proud that over 30% of our faculty and staff are alumni or parents of alumni. n Kevin Clark '09 married his wife, Caitlin, earlier this year, and many of his BMHS family, including current and former faculty, staff, and alum, attended to celebrate his nuptials. Congratulations to Kevin and Caitlin! n We were thrilled to welcome the legendary Sports Psychologist, Dr. Joe Carr '67 this fall. Dr. Carr was surprised to see one of his previous mentees, varsity girls’ basketball coach Frank Oliver, on the basketball court! Dr. Carr is well-known for his contributions to the basketball world. He developed the NBA rookie orientation program, is recognized as an industry-leading Performance Coach, and he's a renowned Team Chemistry Builder. Thank you for visiting, Dr. Carr! n
Quinn Osborne '20 has remained committed to academic excellence at William & Mary University, where he recently earned a CAA Football Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll Accolade. n
Nicole Yeargin '16 recently won a bronze medal in the Women's 4x400m at the World Championships. Nicole ran the 2nd leg with Great Britain and the fastest relay split with a time of 50.19. n Nova Payton '98 recently starred in “The Color Purple” at Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA. This holiday season, she will also be starring as the Witch in “Into the Woods” at Signature Theatre.
In September, Malachi E. Robinson '08, CEO/Founder of Point.Black Creative, premiered “Black X” to explore the black man's mental health perspective through nightmarish visuals and electrifying choreography. n Spencer Anderson '18 was recently featured in the Washington Post. Spencer played football at BMHS and was victorious in the Chess Club. He now uses chess strategy as a right tackle at the University of Maryland. n

BMHS alums Talib Zanna '09, Ibn Muhammad '11, Brenden Bazilio '09, Jay Gavin '07 (Men's Basketball Associate Head Coach), Jahmal Rich '00 (Assistant Men's Basketball Coach) and Marcus Pilgrim '10, as well Varsity Assistant Coach Jeremy Myers were all on campus earlier this fall to work with our men's basketball team. n
Director of Athletics and Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Marty Keithline held his annual Alumni Game in November. A great group of 20 alumni returned to the court to play our team, and the Mustangs got the W. n

'74 recently published a book, "America and Vietnam, 1954-1963: The Road to War." Thank you to Col. Walker for sending the Bishop McNamara team a copy! n
Our Mustangs have been on the move already this school year! James Scaldaferri '67 recently spotted our bus during his family vacation in Toronto and snapped a picture of the happy coincidence. Our girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball teams were there to play in the Annual Shoot for a Cure Showcase. Thank you so much to James, and to his nephew, Joe Saverino '07, for sending us this picture! n Jeff Kinney '89 recently launched his 17th book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and the second animated movie, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules" will premiere on Disney+ on December 2nd. n
Hello from the La Reine Class of 1972! The classmates gathered earlier this fall in Alexandria, Virginia to celebrate their 50th reunion and had a wonderful time.
Here are the Bishop McNamara and La Reine Classes of 1982! They had a wonderful 40th reunion in October at The Barking Dog in Bethesda, MD, and loved coming together to share stories, memorabilia, and a lot of laughter and fun.
The BMHS Class of 2000 came together this summer for their “2020 Too” 20th reunion! Everyone had a great time seeing each other and visiting campus.
The BMHS Class of 2012 celebrated their ten-year reunion this summer as well! The group held two events to celebrate 10 years since graduating.
