TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF:

I was raised right here in Bismarck. I received a Bachelor of Business Marketing from University of North Dakota and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary. I started working for the park district in high school at the MAC program and as a lifeguard at Raging Rivers Waterpark. Full time, I’ve been with the park district for nine years.

I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends, attending, or playing in a sporting event, working out, and cooking with my husband.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

My family is my No. 1 motivator. Outside of that, I like a challenge. I’m a very competitive person, and I like the variety of responsibilities that my profession gives me. I’m very thankful to have a great mentor that continues to challenge me.

CHALLENGES IN YOUR CAREER PATH:

I’ve had to adapt when, inevitably, things don’t go as planned and be open to change. I like to plan and see my plans through to their successful conclusion. I have learned the importance of being adaptive, and I believe that embracing change is necessary for growth.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU OFFER OTHER YOUNG PROFESSIONALS?

Learn as much as you can about your profession, ask questions, and say yes to new things. And don’t forget to be nice to everyone along the way.
