Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony at Brisbane City Hall Brisbane City Council civic reception for the lunar New Year

BrisBANE Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner held a civic reception for the Lunar new year in the Brisbane Room of Brisbane City Hall on Monday, 23rd January. The event was attended by many councillors and members of the Lord Mayor’s Multicultural round table. Cultural performances welcomed guests at the event, and the lion dancers led the official party in for the formalities.

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner wished everyone all the best for the Lunar New year and recognised that for some communities, it was the year of the cat, while widely, it is the year of the Rabbit. Councillor Steven Huang also spoke on occasion, and both Lord Mayor and Councillor Steven Huang reminded everyone of the Bris Asia Festival, which will be held across many venues during the month of February
