Ekta Women’s Group holds its AGM

BErriNBA Indian Senior Citizens Association members took part in their annual havan yagya held on 22nd January at the Sanatan Centre in Wembley Rd Berrinba.

Pundit Anand Sharma and Pundit Tiwariji officiated the Havan. Members were blessed with the opportunity of participating in the puja ceremony. Prasdam and Mahaprasadam followed this, kindly donated by generous member sponsors. It was great to see our seniors taking part in this auspicious occasion.

The most ancient form of Hindu prayer is known as the Havan Yajna. It is a religious ceremony in which a sacred fire is lit, and Sanskrit mantras are recited. It is based on the principle of sacrificing for the sake of others.

THE women’s wing of the Indian Senior Citizens Association, Ekta Women’s Group, held its AGM and first meeting for 2023 at the residence of the president Mrs Roshni Sharma. It was so great to see the total attendance and welcome new members. The 2023 upcoming events were discussed, followed by a sumptuous afternoon tea. Ekta women’s club is a progressive women’s club Woking in with Indian Seniors.
