GET INTRODUCED! MEET THE AMBASSADORS See the MRket/Vanguards Gallery show through the eyes of King Brothers Clothiers – industry recognized team of brothers who believe that “style isn’t about purchasing a product; it’s about pursuing a lifestyle.”
MINNEAPOLIS - ST. PAUL @kingbrosclothiers
Tell us a little bit about how King Brothers Clothiers came to be. We started King Brothers Clothiers in 2011 and began with style consulting and blogging. We had also been apprenticing at a Minneapolis custom clothier, Kingford Bavender. We developed (although it didn’t take long) a love for this specific business through our relationship and experiences with Kingford. Currently, our primary focus is on custom clothing. We absolutely love this business. We noticed this tagline on your website: “style isn’t about purchasing a product; it’s about pursuing a lifestyle.” What is the inspiration behind this? For us, style is communication. It’s one of the few aspects in life where a person is in complete control. It’s not necessarily about what you have, it’s about what each person does with what they do have. This tagline came as a result of us identifying what we believed as a brand. In this day and age, how important do you feel social media is for a brand? As far as we’re concerned, it’s not an option. So much of life today happens
online. We’ve experienced first-hand the way social media has a positive effect on business when utilized well. We have found Instagram and Facebook to be invaluable to our business, but we’ve also made sure to learn how to use these platforms correctly. Social platforms are the broadest and most readily available things that exist, so it’s a no-brainer to take advantage of these tools that obviously work… that is, if you can put in the time to making them work. It shouldn’t be an afterthought. What do you look forward to after a long day of work? There’s no better way to feel as though you’re earning your Italian dinner than after a long run. We train for marathons together and have found this to be one of the most beneficial ways to “unwind.” Some alternative options include: time with family, Netflix (House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Lillehammer, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, etc.) binges, and exploring the ever-expanding Twin Cities’ (Minneapolis and St. Paul) coffee, craft beer, and restaurant scene.
