BJORN J.GRUENWALD Bjorn J Gruenwald is a senior vip and the Chief Technical Officer at InMentia, Inc and is responsible for continued research and development for the company. For the last 30 years, he has applied his multi-disciplinary education in engineering and science to build innovative computer system solutions. He has done extensive research work on computer systems solutions ranging from real time process control and information management systems to artificial intelligence and real time e expert systems. Artificial Intelligence research has necessarily been cross-disciplinary, drawing from his multi disciplinary education and expertise, such as applied mathematics, electrical engineering, physiology and social intelligence. Artificial Intelligence is associated with automatic development. Bjorn has worked on hardware and software development in both analog and digital systems. The use of formal methods of software and hardware design is motivated by the expectation that as in other engineering disciplines, performing appropriate mathematical analysis can contribute to the reliability and robustness of a design. Programming language theory is another area of keen interest for Bjorn. It is a branch of computer science that designs, implements, analysis and classifies programming languages and their individual features. Programming languages depends quite heavily on mathematics, software engineering and linguistics. It is an active research area for Mr.Gruenwald who has developed systems and methods of translating languages uses on intermediate content space. Applied computer science aims at identifying certain computer science concepts that can be used directly to solve real world problems. His self-similar process network is a concept that revolves around making use of parallel processing or parallel processors that have the property of self-similarity. The network contains a memory organizer, a processing unit and plurality of input\output channels attached to the processor. While working on his post graduation program, he continued to conduct research work for a doctoral dissertation on intelligent information and control mechanisms in living organisms. Throughout his career spanning 30 years he has worked on the primary underlying mechanisms that rule information and control processes and very ingeniously applied this understanding to create intelligent machines that would prevail over the confines of conservative designs. As CEO and CTO, of Advanced Computer Applications, Inc. he has done a remarkable job of designing, developing and commercializing integrated decision support and industrial data management systems to some very prominent industry majors like Dupont, Chrysler, Protor and Gamble, Bristol-Myers and the Trigen Corp.
