The “Rail System” works like a treadmill. This system helps users load and unload large items easily and safely.
Lightweight and extendable ladder moves along the rail like a fire truck.
SPACE USAGE
When truck bed folds, belts are straightened.
A safety bar turns 90 degree towards the driver to expand the space.

IDEATION
In this stage, the design is focused on how to create a unique shape & practical package based on a direction, the compact CUV for a city.
DEVELOPMENT 0.1
One-box architecture creates unique shape of the body and has more space for the interior. It is a very efficient type of vehicle for city.
DEVELOPMENT 0.2
Integrated led lighting crossing both front & rear of the body creates unique characteristic for Jeep.

JEEP INTERIOR 0.1 The interior needs to be a playful area, and visually entertaining. Like the exterior, using organic lines and forms makes the whole design stay away from the typical, simple and angulate design which many consumers might expect from Jeep.

GM SURFBOARD (CONCEPT)
GM Surfboard is the new transportation system which carries a lightweight & self-balancing vehicle on the water so it can cross the river instead of using ground.
Transparent reinforced glass
Call the device and it detracts your location.
The vehicle and the Surfboard are connected by the center hub
Bars extend out to be stabilized on the water
Teeth carves water to travel straight.
Aligns with the vehicle automatically.
Maintains balance and position. Moves back and forth if necessary.
TECHNOLOGY This massive pendulum balances building from high-wind and earthquake, On a Surfboard, this structure works exactly opposite. The vehicle balances itself by shifting it’s weight left and right
The vehicle balances itself by shifting its weight left or right to stabilize on the water.
IDEATION STAGE
Side body panel moves freely Body panel hinge
Division between interior & exterior
The structure of the exterior design is based on the architecture, “selfbalancing vehicle. The design is focused on harmonizing three separated body structure (Left & right panel, and interior) into one integrated form.
DEVELOPMENT STAGE 0.1
DEVELOPMENT STAGE 0.2
In normal driving mode, the vehicle is narrow, & stays literally, normal. Since there is no engine hood, the pedestrian airbag is placed in middle of the vehicle colored in orange and deploys in case of an accident.
When it’s on the water, or on high-speed driving, the body structure around the interior extends and gives the tolerance to allow the vehicle to control the weight shifting.
FINAL DESIGN 0.1
FINAL DESIGN 0.2
Since there is no street light on the water, the inside of the wheels glow to communicate with the vehicles nearby.
EXTERIOR to INTERIOR
Passengers egress & ingress through the front of the vehicle and the interior shouldn’t get in the way. Therefore, the interior should be lightweight and thin as the whole IP is raised up when windshield opens.
IDEATION STAGE
Main architecture of the interior
The main goal for the interior design is making it as thin and light as possible. The IP should be light so there is no difficulty when it is being raised up. It needs to be thin so the passenger can get in and out easily and safely.
