DESIGN 101 Point & line study
Hand draftings and bass wood models that explore the method of creative three dimensional objects dervied from using only points and lines. This series is based on the Golden Ratio, or the “Fibonacci sequencee.
Solid & void study DESIGN 101
Foam model that explores the relationship between solids and voids. The five base shapes connect together like keys to create clusters, which cunnect to create the final model.

The foam and the wood represent two different systems working together to make a final structure. The foam working as decompartmented cubes and the wood snaking through as support.

This is a a folly, based off of the two systems used in the midterm model. Going though it is an interactive experience because you have to climb, reach and duck your way through to get to the top.

This model focuses on continuity, not only with material but with accessability to light as well, and instances where it is broken.

This is a project to replace on of the town houses at Pratt. This building is made to cater to two occupants, a painter and a gardener. The building has a large opening in the middle where a tree can grow through and has a glass roof like a green house. The gardener uses all of the spaces under the green house as their own. The painter uses all of the interior spaces and looks out to the plants and that way they paint, using the different rooms to achieve different views.

design 102 Final Paint Splatter Analysis
Define: Created an outline of the forms.
Simplify: Made the curves more geometric and matched points in the plan and elevation.
Erect: Rotated the new shapes vertically to become three dimensional.
Join: Connected the points in plan and elevation in the order that they occurred.
Twist: Lofted certain edges from each shape.

Plant growth analysis
Extrude: Match triangle to irregular shape by size. Extrude shape to height of corresponding triangle.
Design Approach A
Analyze:Triangles represent srouting leaves.
Abstraction: Lines from the leaves were extended to the edge.
Lines taken from the seventh stage of plant growth.
Find shapes: Of the many irregular shapes, the larger ones were extracted.
Connect: Extended volumes until they reach the center of an adjacent volume.
