Possible Tv Channels for the program: Sky 2 Pick TV (Sky 3) DMAX Quest

Sky2 is a British television channel originally launched on 2 December 2002 as Sky One Mix. Sky2 is now available on Sky, Virgin Media, Smallworld Cable[citation needed] and TalkTalk TV platforms in the UK. It is also available in the Republic of Ireland on the UPC Ireland platform. Rebrand Sky One Mix was rebranded as Sky Mix in 2004. This branded-name was short lived, because in 2005, it was rebranded as Sky Two. It was rebranded as Sky2 in 31 August 2008, when Sky's entertainment channels rebranded into the solids, liquids and particles theme.[1] On 1 February 2011, Sky refreshed the presentation on many of its channels. Sky2's idents follow the same themes as Sky1's new idents, but feature a smaller metal '2' icon, and the action is in close-up. Programming Sky2 carries some programming from Sky Travel and Sky Vegas. Sky2's programming mostly features sci-fi programming such as Futurama, the Stargate franchise and Star Trek Enterprise. However, other Sky1 drama shows such as Bones, documentary strands such as Road Wars, Street Wars, Hello Goodbye also form the Sky2 schedule. Like Sky3, (now Pick TV) Sky2 did not feature repeat episodes of The Simpsons, until recently where it has started to air at 8pm daily. Sky2 is essentially a "catch-up" service for Sky's main entertainment channel Sky1, broadcasting popular Sky1 shows a few days after their original airing. Doing so, Sky2 is described as a timeshuffle channel, so called to distinguish it from timeshift channels such as E4+1 and Living+1 which simply broadcast E4 and Living respectively, delayed by one hour. Sky currently broadcast a timeshifted version of one of their entertainment channels, Sky3, (now Pick TV) which took over the Freeview EPG slot which Sky Sports News occupied, however do not currently offer a timeshifted version of Sky1 or Sky2. Sky2's programming showcases the best of Sky1's content and a mix of sci-fi, action and factual programmes targeting young men.[2

Pick TV is a British television channel, available free-to-air on Freeview and TalkTalk TV, and free-to-view on satellite via Sky, Freesat from Sky and Virgin Media. The channel was originally launched on 31 October 2005 as Sky Three. From Thursday 24 June 2010, programming from Sky Travel Shop was dropped from the schedules being replaced with programming from Sky Real Lives, which was closed in 2010 to enable Sky to invest in Sky1 and Sky2. On 1 February 2011, Sky Atlantic launched on Sky channel 108, which had originally been occupied by Sky3.[1] Sky rebranded Sky3 as Pick TV on 28 February 2011. Programming When the channel originally launched as Sky Three in 2005, it was essentially a "shop window" service for Sky's main entertainment channel Sky1 and its other subscription services, which served to "offer digital terrestrial viewers the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of popular programmes from Sky".[4] From its launch on 31 October 2005 until 24 June 2010, the channel carried Sky Travel's commercial presentations selling holiday deals for a number of providers. Early highlights from the channel's schedule included Futurama, Cold Case, Tru Calling, Relic Hunter, Road Wars, the Inside strand of documentaries, Brainiac: Science Abuse, Airline, and 35mm from Sky Movies (which looks at upcoming films in the cinema and on Sky's premium movies service Sky Movies) and Dream Team. The channel has also shown the free-to-air premieres of some of Sky1's more prestigious shows such as series 3 and 4 of 24, Rescue Me, The 10th Kingdom, Hex and the latest remake of Battlestar Galactica. The channel also showed series 3 and 4 of Prison Break in 2010. In recent years, the number of well known Sky1 shows being shown on Sky3/Pick TV has declined. The channel is well known for airing repeats of Road Wars and Airline whilst other shows such as Coach Trip and It's Me or the Dog are also shown regularly, the closure of Sky Real Lives responsible for the increase in lifestyle programming. The number of American shows airing on the channel has declined rapidly, with Prison Break the last major US Sky1 drama to be shown on the channel in 2010. Since its rebrand to Pick TV, recent Sky1 shows such as UK Border Force, Pineapple Dance Studios and documentary series hosted by Ross Kemp such as gangs and in search of Pirates have been (or currently are being) aired. The most recent major US series to be shown on Pick TV is Glenn Martin, DDS, being broadcast since September 2010. As of 5 October 2011, series 1 of the US drama Lie to Me is being shown.

DMAX is a TV channel in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. Discovery announced on 22 November 2007, that they would launch a version of DMAX in the UK and Ireland market on 8 January 2008 after its initial success in Germany.[1] In addition, the timeshift service DMAX +1 has also been available on Sky since the launch. A two hour timeshift channel named DMAX +2 launched on Sky on 1 April 2008. Another timeshift channel named DMAX +1.5 launched on Sky on 18 August 2008. DMAX +1.5 was closed down on November 2, 2009 when Quest +1 launched.[2] Programming Airwolf American Chopper Animal Cops Detroit Challenge Tommy Walsh Chop Shop: London Garage Crocodile Hunter Deadliest Catch Dirty Jobs Ghosthunters Holmes on Homes LA Ink Little People, Big World London's Burning London Ink Miami Ink Magnum, P.I. Quest is a TV channel in the United Kingdom. Quest provides factual, lifestyle, entertainment programmes and other imported material. The channel is operated by Discovery Networks Western Europe. In October 2008, Discovery announced that they would launch a channel on Freeview in early 2009, but without using the "Discovery" name. A placeholder appeared on Freeview channel 47 on 5 January 2009 and Tiscali TV channel 109 on 14 May 2009.[1] Although the channel planned to launch on 14 May 2009 at 10am, after broadcasting a promo loop on the planned launch morning, at 10am the channel returned to displaying a "Coming soon" message.[2][3] The Quest website displayed a message reading: "Regrettably we have made the decision to postpone the launch of Quest. Due to a number of commercial factors we have had to make this difficult decision. We did not make this decision lightly and we are working towards launching Quest in the near future. We would like to apologise wholeheartedly to any of you that have been looking forward to this launch." In August 2009, Discovery Networks announced that it planned to launch the channel on 30 September 2009.[4] At the same time the channel moved to channel 38.[5] Quest launched on Sky, on 1 October 2009, after acquiring an EPG slot from Information TV 2. Quest +1 launched on Sky, replacing DMAX +1.5 on 2 November 2009.[6] Quest launched on Virgin Media on 25 March 2010 on channel 179. It is notable for cropping the top and bottom from 4:3 programming in order to make it 16:9. Furthermore, if the channel is viewed with a receiver set to 4:3, the sides are cropped from the image (including cutting the channel logo in half) meaning only the very centre of the original picture is viewable. On 15 October 2010, Quest began broadcasting a 24-hour schedule on all platforms except Freeview.[7] On 30 June 2011, Gems TV acquired a 24 hour Freeview stream,[8] ending their timeshare with Quest, allowing Quest to begin broadcasting for 24 hours a day on Freeview as well.
