MicroPro Sienna Treated Wood NEW Advanced Treating Technology • NEW Colour Proven Chemistry MicroPro® micronized copper wood preservative provides effective protection against fungal decay and termite attack, comparable to traditional treated wood, and is listed in the CSA Standards. Multiple End Uses MicroPro micronized copper treated wood is approved for above ground, ground contact and freshwater immersion applications.
More Compatible Building Material MicroPro Sienna treated wood provides significantly improved corrosion performance with metal fasteners and hardware, similar to untreated wood. Aluminum building products may be placed in direct contact with MicroPro Sienna treated wood products in above ground applications such as decks and fences.
Proven Market Acceptance Since 2006, over 10 billion board feet of MicroPro treated wood has been sold in over 6,000 U.S. home centres and lumberyards. Micronized copper treated wood represents over 65% of all the treated lumber and squares currently sold in the United States.
A New Look for Treated Wood MicroPro Sienna uses patented colour technology to give the wood a warm brown tone that enhances its grain and natural characteristics. Traces of copper within the grain of the wood and around knots may appear in some boards, reassuring the user that the wood is pressure treated with an effective preservative for durability. Over time the copper transitions to a tan that blends into the overall tone of the wood. A colour-matched sealer for pressure treated wood, Cut-N-Seal™ is available to cover cuts and holes and retouch any blemishes during construction of the project. Application of a water repellent after construction will help maintain the colour and protect the surface of the wood against weathering.
Environmental Advantages The copper used to produce the micronized copper wood preservative is 100% recycled.
Environmentally Preferable Product Patented MicroPro technology was the first treated wood process to be certified as an Environmentally Preferable Product based on Life-Cycle Assessment by Scientific Certification Systems.
