TICKET SELLING GUIDE
Selling Tickets For Your Event For any event that requires your attendees to buy a ticket, reserve a space or simply confirm they will be there, this service ticks all the boxes. Using the information in this guide you can quickly add your What’s On event including ticket sales to the Black-Gold website. To get started you will need to create a free account. As soon as you have created your account you will be able to complete the ‘Add a free What’s On’ form. Remember to fill in the details for each type of ticket and to add any images, video or audio files. You can also add links to your website and social media pages at no extra cost.
What Happens Next Your What’s On event will require approval which takes less than 48 hours. Once we have approved your event it will be visible on the Black-Gold website. Look out for your confirmation email which has a link to your What’s On page. With your event now live on the site this would be a great time to view your ‘Dashboard’. If you’re already signed in you can click ‘Dashboard’ in the top right of the screen or sign in to be taken straight there. From here you can add more What’s On events or manage the ones you have added so far. You can also view and monitor your ticket sales 24/7, all from your Dashboard.
That’s The Ticket Anybody who’s anybody can now buy a ticket for your event. When they select to buy a ticket they will be taken to PayPal to make the payment. They will have all the usual PayPal payment options available, including card payments. A successfully completed payment will create an e-ticket for your event which will be emailed within 10 minutes of the purchase, along with a separate receipt from PayPal. You will also receive an automated email every time a ticket for your event is purchased. All tickets come with calendar reminders for ticket purchaser to add to their diary easily. A reminder email is sent 2 days prior to the date of the event to all attendees.

Cost of E-Ticket Service The fee for ticket sales is 10% of the ticket price which includes transaction charges. With 3 payment options you can choose the one that best suits you. Option 1 - The fee can be added onto the ticket price as a booking fee. Option 2 - Include the fee into the ticket price. Option 3 - If you don’t want to pass the fee to your ticket buyers it can be deducted from the ticket price. Extras

10% fee is deducted from each ticket and is paid by the organizer therefore receiving £9.00 per ticket sale (in this example).
The e-ticket service includes these extras as part of the 10% fee: Free entry on the Goodies page for early bird and other special offer tickets.

Ticket Sales Proceeds All proceeds from your ticket sales will be transferred within 3 working days of your What’s On event, less any fees. The transfer will appear on your bank statement with the following reference: B-G Name of Event (ie B-G Soul Night). Transfers are not completed prior to the event ending to allow for any individual refunds or refunds due to the event being cancelled.
