... day is the 22nd of March. It’s a day we hope you’ll wear something blue. Why? I hear you cry. It’s to support mens' health, predominantly awareness of prostate cancer. In the UK, one man dies of prostate cancer every hour, scary considering most people don’t even know what the prostate does! Do you? If you’d like to enlighten yourself, go to www.prostate-cancer.org.uk
That’s where do blue day comes in. The 22nd of March is the day to don something blue and tell anyone who’ll listen why. You can tell them about the gland and how only blokes have it, how it’s the size of a walnut and why we have one. Obviously, visit the website first and swat up - you don’t want to look a right prrr...ostate. If you don’t fancy explaining a simple ‘it’s for prostate cancer’ will do.
Anyway, enough of the doom and gloom. We want to raise awareness and get us fellas talking about it and going to the docs for regular check-ups because, let’s face it fellas, when it comes to getting ourselves along to the clinic - we’re... how should I put this... RUBBISH!

We like to find interesting things to read and then tell anyone who’ll listen about them. If you like to read, here are 9 interesting books to have a look at. If you don’t like to read, how come you’re reading this? Move along son, nothing to see here - I’m afraid you can’t be in our gang... sorry... club. 1. The Dangerous Book for Boys. Now, this should be on every bookshelf. It comes with many pearls of wisdom like: Fish-hook and thread - add stick and worm and you won’t starve. Ace! 2. Words Fail Me. This book is a visual treat for word lovers. Cleverly explaining things like Antigrams, transposing letters to give a new meaning - astronomers = no more stars. This is just one of many. 3. The Complete Book of Self Sufficiency. It’s sold a million copies in 20 languages. It’s fab! 4. Here comes Frankie! This meticulously crafted book is a must for your little monsters. Colourful, inspirational and sophisticated. Do you know what a synaesthetes is? Frankie does. 5. Change the World For a Fiver. From ditching plastic bags, metaphorically of course, to making yourself free-for-free. This book suggests 50 actions you should definitely do - especially action 47. 6. Innocent Smoothie Recipe Book. Smoothies, we love em. They’re tasty. So, when the nice folk at innocent released their recipe book - well, we just had to have it and try them out for ourselves. And yep! They’re still tasty. Loads less washing-up when you get one from the supermarket, though. 7. Danny The Champion of the World. If you haven’t read this book, you really, really should. If you have read this book, you should really, really read it again. ‘It’s the most daring and dangerous plan ever.’ 8. A Short History of Nearly Everything. The atoms chapter is mental - atoms make everything. EVERYTHING! 9. Good Beer Guide 2011. Pack this book on weekends away. Good beer equals good weekend.
