Cool stuff
We’re now truly getting into summer – meaning extra sun and outdoor activities. Let’s check out some of the best and coolest products to have come out recently, including sunglasses, watches for running and even a limited-edition pushchair – all of which are dedicated to helping us make the most of the sunshine season.
Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones £379
Sony has been at the top of its game recently when it comes to noisecancelling headphones, with 2020’s WH-1000XM4s going down as some of the all-time greats in the segment. But how do you replace a real winner? Well, Sony is attempting to do just that with the new WH-1000XM5.
The ear cups are broader than before, but they’re designed to be even more comfortable to wear – and a 30-hour battery life means there’s plenty of time to enjoy them.
Oakley Mumbo sunglasses £TBA
The ’90s style revolution is well and truly upon us and that’s something sunglasses creator Oakley is definitely tapping into with its new Mumbo glasses.
They’re designed to hark back to the original Mumbo from 1989 and, as a result, have that beachy, retro look.
They get special non-slip nose pads to provide a comfortable fit, while Oakley’s Prizm lens technology means that colours will be bright and filled with contrast.
Limited-Edition Mercedes-AMG and Hartan GT pushchair £TBA
Limited to just 299 of its kind, this stylish ride for babies features a special red AMG pattern on the hood, plus each one gets an original AMG badge on both sides of the frame.
Even the wheels use the cross-spoke design seen on AMG’s cars, while the seat inlays are finished in Dinamica – a fabric used for the firm’s seats.
It’ll be available from July – with a sizeable price tag, no doubt.
G-Shock G-Squad from £129.99
The world of smartwatches has really exploded in recent years and now G-Shock – one of the best-known names in the activity watch segment – is weighing in with a new, value-focused version. Called the G-Squad, it looks like a standard G-Shock from the outside, but inside it’s got a step counter and will also log the speed and distance of your run.
Plus, it’s water-resistant to 200 metres, so you’re able to take it swimming should you want to. At just under £130, it’s pretty good value, too.
