12.15: INDEPENDENT DEALER PANEL

Used car-savvy salesmen will give their opinion on the future for car dealers at our conference on March 9.

Dealers comprising those running one of the largest car supermarket groups in the UK, a luxury supercar dealer and two independent showrooms will form our four-strong independent car dealer panel at Car Dealer Live at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon.

They are:

• Nigel Hurley, CEO of car supermarket group Carshop

• Jamie Caple, the man behind used car dealership Car Quay

• David Trigg, the owner of supercar dealership Premier GT

• Stuart Saunders, a founding member of the IMDA and boss of the Urban Car Company in Cambridge

Hurley said: ‘I am looking forward to hearing the wider discussions from all the panels at the conference. Any insight is always welcomed.’

Caple commented: ‘I’m very much interested in hearing what Google has to say.’ He added that he was also looking forward to Mark Lavery give his talk.

Saunders said: ‘The IMDA’s core values have always been to support independent dealers and the Car Dealer Live event is very much the same.

‘It’s an excellent opportunity for all dealers to gain knowledge from other dealers.’
